What happens to the humans when they overwork...they get stressed and depressed and then their mind is unable to work properly and suggest humans multiple options to overcome it including suicide....may be he would have thought that he will get some rest this way.... nowadays every robots are integrated with AI learning...so they usually learn from their surroundings do accordingly. Korean Newspapers are full of suicide news so he might have seen those news on internet and started to think about it to take some rest.
