My favorite number plate is T1GER. It sold for about £20k in 1999 when it was sold by the DLVA auction. Probably worth far more today.

@@Speedos28. In andere landen is het kenteken direct gelinkt aan de eigenaar van de auto. In Nederland is het kenteken in eerste instantie gelinkt aan het voertuig, vervolgens wordt er op die manier gekeken wie de eigenaar van de auto is. Dit is waarschijnlijk ook de hoofdreden, dat gepersonaliseerde kentekens in Nederland niet zijn toegestaan en in sommige andere landen wel.

You can just tell when it spells out something that can be used specially for a particular car, or even if it just spells something cool or maybe funny. I guess the plate has to spelled clearly as well and often when its shorter, the more valuable it is
