    What I love is how everyone was very open and respectful, there was no judgement about Islam, just pure curiousity and wanting to understand. The way Fikah and Suryan handled themselves was also very inspiring. Really enjoyed this episode, kinda speaks about how a multi racial singapore can survive and get along with one another.

    Yes. Most of the answers given by Fikah and Suran is wrong, and even the explanation doesn't make sense and incomplete. What haram is haram, intentions doesn't make it right. Do invite Islamic experts so that non-Muslims won't be misinformed and misled.

    Working as a financial consultant and I have muslim clients as well. I think the response to "muslims are not (technically) allowed to buy insurance" is quite misleading. Yes, the responses were qualified by saying "please read fine print", but I think that as key opinion leaders, you must take ownership of what you are sharing. The youths may be watching this content and being misled into thinking that purchasing insurance is haram. If the muslim colleagues from TSL are not qualified in giving proper advice on this topic I don't suggest giving such a black-or-white "true" or "false" answer. Furthermore MUIS does recommend muslims in Singapore to purchase the proper types of insurances that are aligned with shariah-complaince. Such sensitive topics should be dealt with properly or by professional religious leaders.

    this is a very good concept but i suggest if you were to make another video like this make sure to invite people who are legitimate to answer the questions. no hate to the hosts but it's for the sake of getting the most correct answers. i see some ppl commented that they've seen the host did a total opposite act online and that also another reason why you should consider inviting a religious leader for this kind of video. it's a sensitive topic after all.

    For “0%” beer, if we talk about intention, what about mocktails? Aren’t they adapted from alcoholic cocktails so that they remove the alcohol element but mimic the taste of the drink? So is it really the intention, or the trace amounts of alcohol, what if there’s complete proof that there’s no alcohol?

I want to learn to understand the teaching behind the practuces and to avoid accidentally disrepecting those who practice the religion.

    Coming to the Beer question of non-alcoholic. We would need to look into the country's regulations on advertisement. Like for example some "Non-alcoholic beer" would have a 0.000001% of alcohol in it and based on the countries regulation that is not considered alcohol and are allowed to adervise as 0.00% Alcohol.

    They're asking the wrong ppl. If its wrong, its wrong. Period. True most comment says that TSL should invite more appropriate person to ask. Also, many ppl wonder is wearing hijab a must? It is. You can't choose. I don't know why we need to answer on why we choose not to wear. Not every question, need an answer. And some question is a basic common sense(?) Brenda was asking what if they use vegetable to mimic the taste of meat we cannot eat it. For example, so are we not allowed to eat mushroom? Mushroom also mimic the texture and taste of a meat. There are alot plant base food that mimic meat taste/texture too.

    Next time really bring in someone more qualified to talk about things like this ESPECIALLY the insurance portion. When it comes to investments, muslims must ensure that their investments are parked in a shariah compliant fund. Insurance wise, muslims are allowed to cover themselves but not PROFIT from tragedy. Means if you earn $100k per year, you can only income replace upon death so that your family need not carry on your liabilities, an example of what not to get is getting coverage of $1 Million if you dont earn $1million. Hence there is no benefitting from tragedy.

    3:12 Then left-handers how? If right is good and left is bad, then Muslims born left-handed are bad right from the womb? They write with their left hand, so everything they write is bad? I wouldn't call any of these questions difficult even though they may have been informative in helping others to know more about Islam. If one really wants to ask or answer a difficult question about Islam, one might consider asking/answering why it is ok for Islam, even in this age, to "preach" for the death of an apostate, or to campaign for full Syariah Laws to be integrated into a non-Muslim nation's legislation for example.

  • @TalEdds

    @TalEdds

    Left-handers are allowed to write left-handed. It's only eating that its encouraged to use right hand, as it was the way of the Prophet. A quick google search revealed it. Also from quick Google search, there is no mention of killing an apostate in the Quran, as it contradicts the Quran's words to not compel anyone to believe. Also, Syariah law was always used alongside other normative system, even in Islamic states of the 8th and 9th century. There was no compulsion to have full Syariah Law even in Islamic states, so what has changed now?

  • @celineaurelia

    @celineaurelia

    That's your issue with the whole religion, keep it to yourself. Obviously it's not a sin to eat with your left hand, it's just encouraged to. Clearly if the norm is to pray and raise your hand but you don't have a hand, you can still pray (if its not obvious enough).
