I think you are so right. I don't want to do mock ups. I just like to put something together for my own ideas but that's it. I'll use my spare smaller backdrop stand and hang the backdrop to help solidify the balloon colors etc. TFS

I agree with you about the things to consider, it's really not for everyone so one needs to find out what works best for them and their business

I charge a Design fee upfront for Mockups, that way if they bounce I get paid for my time

I think they are a waste of time. It keeps you stuck to the image of the mock up when it comes to installs. You never know if you need to change something due to unforseen situations. I think it's better to sketch out for your own personal goal, but don't share that with the client.
