Are LED lights safe? Learn the facts, know the risks
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Are LED lights safe? We’re not talking about screens in this video. We want to know if the LED lamps & bulbs we install in our homes are safe for our eyes. There’s a lot of FUD out there so we help break it all down.

i have no problem with LED thanks to the smart phones if you set them to 18% or app too.

LED bulbs are the only bulbs available in UK supermarkets. That's not an accident.

@@bigbabatunde1218 yeah also led bulbs are here in usa and canada too mate.
I agree with your summery. I feel one of the problems has to do with "dirty electricity" caused by ac to dc converters such as phone chargers, power supplies in computers, microwave appliances, battery chargers and any other electronic devices that use an ac to dc transformer to make their units function.
You were wrong on the led flicker. Most do flicker worse than incandescent. While incandescent on AC will have light intensity fluctuations at 120Hz, it isn't a 0% to 100% situation like with LED lights. The fluctuations are far less harmful than the full on to full off flickering of LEDs. It's worth noting that LEDs can be made to not flicker at all, but these are rare and more expensive. Photobiologists say incandescent lighting on DC power is the absolute best light source.

i heard about a type of digital data flying around in the spectrum of led's. they called it lifi. something about being able to manipulate the binary frequency and insert data in the spectrum of light. whats your opinion on this?
LED lights are also present for another task, and that´s collecting data, part of the larger surveillance network, connect to a Cell tower, and other smart devices. Check out the work of Arthur Firstenberg.
LED/Blue LED Lights are causing blindness world wide//LED/Blue LED Lights on vehicles are causing massive accidents world wide//I had catarcts//right eye completeblind//had to have blue blocker put in !!
One size does not fit all. Some of us are more susceptible to light than others. I wound up in the ER twice as a result of LED utility lighting which I've since removed.I would suggest taking a break from LED by adding more incandescent or halogen especially for those who work long hours as I do. My design studios iare now filled with residential incandescent and halogen splashing the walls.I've felt back to normal since the reinstall. My eyes are my money maker so the redo didn't warrant a second thought.

@@BlueRage One eye crossed looking upward and the other looked downward for about 30 seconds. They immediately checked for a stroke not finding one. They asked if there was anything new in my environment and I told them about the new utility LED. I experimented using the old lighting vs the new lighting. Each time I used the LED lighting the symptoms appeared; nausea, dizziness and weird eye rotation. I'm fine now without any return of the symptoms. The regular LED in my home doesn't affect me at all.

@@asunder6797 glad you found the culprit. I think the thing that hurts me the most is night driving with all the new cats LED bulbs that are so bright they literally hurt my eyes and force to close them

@@Nikkk6969 Thanks, I've had no problems since the reinstall. Those car lights at night are annoying including the tracer effect from the red tail lights when the amount is overdone.
I have been experiencing significant eye issues after turning to daylight bright led lighting around my home to conquer the lack of natural light inside. I am an artist and work from home. The damage has only taken about 5months to be noticed since changing to bright leds I am now very concerned and trying to find a way to return to in incandescents. I have also started using blueblocks glasses to help. I am very nervous about this and praying that these adjustments will help my eyes recover.

6 MONTHS AFTER I INSTALLED LEDS IN MY HOUSE, I WOKE UP ONE MORNING WITH 'PARTIAL RETINAL DETACHMENT' SYMPTOMS IN ONE EYE, SO I CHANGED BACK TO INCANDESCENT BULBS, NO MORE PROBLEMS. THAT WAS 7 YEARS AGO. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 YRS FOR MY RETINA TEAR TO HEAL, THROW LEDS LIGHTS AWAY !!!
Because my home incandescent lights were less than desirable, I looked at and bought the blue-ish type lights, and they seem to help me do may computer work, art work, etc. But on hearing that they also brought extra radiation, I was very concerned, as I am getting older and beginning to have diabetes related issues with my eyes. Thank you for your plain spoken information!
After a 1.5year the bright light been installed at warehouses, people getting headaches,as the eye can't relax.i can't keep eye contact on person for long as it hurts, they also covered the daylight.even worst. And my vision in 1.3 did changed a lot, definitely affects the vision.
I have used them since they came out in my house no problems at all and only one stopped working and they do get warm/hot at the base think could you make a heater out of say 10 bulbs in a tube with a fan ..
i just buy old light bulbs
I enjoyed your video and it brought up questions that I now need to ask my eye doctor about. Thank you.

You are so welcome!
So my question is, what kind of light can we use in our content studio lighting which use to filming??
I think all electrical lighting is bad. I'm going back to candles. Wait...do candles have flicker?🤔
What about street lights that municipalities are installing? My town just installed LEDS on my street and they are too bright
Great research 🧐
I prefer to use incandescent bulbs, when I can find them. They are the safest form of artificial lighting. I'd like to see the Obama-era bulb restrictions lifted. As consumers, we should have the option to buy products that fit our needs and health requirements. Over-regulation has become an oppressive feature of modern life.

100% agree. Repeal the Biden bulb ban!
In California we can only buy LEDs
Yes I realized the other day when I went to get light bulbs 💡 they were only LED i admit I was freaked out like why the change if is bad for our eyes ? So thanks imma use candles instead hahah kidding 🤗 thanks for the explanation!
No LED's.
It’s all over now folks 😫
LED Lights DO INDEED Flicker. just wave your hand underneath one and you can see it clearly
