A project I enjoy is pulling together a book. I've done two and working on a third. One was a photo study of trees. I also write poetry so this book will combine photos and some of my writing. It is a lot of fun, adds a lot of focus to your photography and leaves you with something tangible to be proud of. I do mine for family and close friends rather than marketing them for sale.

What a cracking location for watching the light change over the mountains. Your panoramic project sounds exciting....could there be book at the end of it? ;-) I'm about to embark on a project myself....it's going to take me a while to complete....but I'll never complete it if I don't start it! Anyway, I loved the 2nd of 3 images show at the end. Nice work.

I like the idea of a photography project, it's like having a mission or goal to focus on when out on location, rather than 'what shall I shot today?' My little project was to shoot the same scene in a local ancient woodland and compare it changes in different seasons.

Beautiful photos once again Steven. I was on Binnian again yesterday afternoon (Buzzards Roost area), so I was probably a speck in the background. I agree, it was amazing light yesterday and the sky even went pink shortly after sunset. It sounds like a great project. Your panorama shots are superb.

I love your videos. I'm almost every year in Northern Ireland and get a lot of inspiration from you. I was wondering if you use apps like Photopills or TPE to plan your shoots.

Amazing photo’s Steven. Love to see the lightwaitinggame. So reconisable! And it realy was worth the waiting game! One thing for sure: if i was living near the Mourne mountains, pano’s would be my project aswell! As you where waiting for the light i saw the comp and the light over your shoulder. Thank goodness you took the photo later on. Hahaha

Yeah I really hard to try not to get distracted by that other shot until I had bagged the first one. Thankful the gamble paid off.

Funny, i was thinking of starting a project yesterday to motivate me to get out. Think I'll do it now! Nothing exciting though, just driftwood that has washed up at lough neagh (antrim). You get some interesting shapes. Great video 🤝🤝

Great vid. Which panning clamp do you use with your ball head? I didn't see it in your list of camera gear. Thanks

It’s from Really Right Stuff. A good friend Nick Hanson is actually selling one. They’re a great setup - makes levelling and shooting the pano very easy.

@@StevenHannaPhotography As Steven says I have one which I am selling. It's pretty much as new, used a couple of times, however find I mostly go back to old practices. I'm UK based, if you're interested let me know and we can connect.

@@NickHansonPhotography Thanks, but I live in Québec, Canada. I think the cost for the transport from Uk (and the value of Canadian $) will be too much expensive.
