Narratives don't matter. They are Champs in the greatest sports town in America. There are 2 faces on the Boston Mt. Rushmore, Russell and Brady. The greatest winners in American sports. The rest, Ortiz, Pierce, Bobby Orr, Garnett, Varitek, Cousy, Bruschi ect. Are all lumped together under the shadow of those two guys. Jayson and Jaylen are there now as well.

For Brown his worse enemy is the Boston media, because over the past 7 years, they have discredited Brown in order to put Tatum at top. When Tatum averaged 27 a few years ago, they were going wild and labeling him as a top 3 player, then the following year Brown also average 27 points and little was mentioned about that and you still had a lot of Boston reporters labeling him the 4 or 5 best player in the Celtics organization. But let's be real, without Brown the Celtics would of not won this championship, so lets give him more credit, instead of continuing this narrative that he is not as good as Tatum..only difference is that Tatum just gets more opportunities because he is more marketable , so the offense revolves around his strengths, which allows him to get easier buckets. Next year, Brown will be a lot better because the chains that held him back will no longer be there, he will be at an even playing field with Tatum....which is good for the Celtics because it will make both of them work harder.
