Arty doesn't admit to English mistakes. He's been mispronouncing Dragoon and Zealot his whole life without apology.

It's interesting. Flash clearly has habits that are indicative of the best in the world. However, because he's out of practice, those habits aren't good for him. He can't play like the best in the world because he currently isn't, so that's getting in the way of some of the stronger elements of his play. Pinpoint losses mount while his macro is amazing. His strategy is fine enough considering his knowledge base, but it's not quite modern. It's really interesting to watch.

Jaedong cut drones and had a razor-thin defense of 9 pressure mutas just to tech rush defilers by the 10.5 minute mark. He was down 10+ drones for most of the game but still managed to make it work. That was real impressive, he made it look easy. Defilers OP lmao

This is an actual comment made by someone who saw Flash in a very early tournament. People were laughing at him because Flash was pretty cheesy back then. Well they're not laughing now.

Flash would've won.

Why send out two battlecruisers alone to get easily killed? It would have been better to send the marine army as well to kill that base.

It's a common tactic for pro terran players, it rarely works but sometimes it does big damage. Flash did not play all that well this game compared to what I'm used to seeing..and the dong was firing on all cylinders killing every single vessel. Honestly the strongest BC play I've seen in ZvT is when the terran uses 3 BCs and hits with an eraser at the same time at a different base.

Jaedong vs Flash and Artosis casting? At this point all that is missing is a GOM Player to complete the nostalgia trip

That was soooooo one-sided! JD blocked literally everything Flash did. Read him like a book! That had to be such a painful moment when Flash moved out for his timing push and slammed straight into that dark swarm wall. After that all he did was roam, never actually threatened any of JD's bases!

now it's 5 games in a row. hopefully next game it will be 8 games in a row and so on.

The Terrans should be called Zerg in this game: being able to leisurely sit in the easily defendable position, massing thing then just steamroll. Even though JD played balls to the wall and did it perfectly stretching thin, even sacrificing worker production, if Flash didn’t lose so much vessels Flash would’ve won or it would be much closer. Ridiculous.

Never thought I could EVER say this but flash looked so sloppy losing the vessels and tanks so easily.

(Spoilers within) Obviously I couldn’t do any better, or even half as good, but as a regular spectator it felt like a very sloppy management of vessels and BC’s towards the end tipped the balance

Considering that it’s much easier to keep vessels alive than to kill those there wasn’t any balance to begin with: Terran has 7-8+ vessels on the field additionally to the standard for the time in a game ground army - Zerg loses.

The only prominent mistake I could agree on is loosing to much vessels: Flash would have won or the game would be much closer is those vessels stayed alive longer

Sometimes. They all talk, watch each others streams, know each other IRL. Maybe they don’t literally know, but sometimes the build order, the type of harass, etc might be indicative of a certain player. They’ve been teammates at certain points, or rivals. Game has been in full swing since ‘98, it’s a long time. Kind of like, if you and your family played chess but you couldn’t see your opponent, you could probably tell that this is your dad playing and this is your mom. They may be similar in skill level, but your dad plays super aggressive and your mom is more a generalist. You’ve been playing them for 20 years so you can just feel it. Sure your mom can throw an aggressive game in there, so you may be wrong. But, after playing each of them 10 times, you can guess who is who.

Terran has to push early with marine-medic. Late game, it is almost impossible to deal with the swarm.

@@theSato I don't remember the game enough to say, what I tried to do was simply a joke in the same manner. He said BC being a capital mistake, and BCs are capital ships. As in, it was a capital mistake not because it was a very big mistake, but becase the BCs are capital-level. I couldn't find a rank that would be fitting for a science vessel, so I used a tank instead :D

some of the siege tanks splash damage will actually go through dark swarm. its minimal, but its there.

Dark Swarm blocks ranged attacks, but it only blocks the 'direct hit' part. The AoE portion of attacks (which is weaker than the direct hit for a siege tank or archon etc) will still hit. Burrowed Lurkers under Swarm VS. Tanks are a bit of a weird case in particular: Depending on the angle of attack between the Tank and Lurker-Under-Swarm , the tank splash could hit cleanly or it could miss ENTIRELY. It's just some StarCraft jank which I am 100% sure was not intended by the developers, but it's what we've got.

His early greed was certainly like him. But throwing so many vessels... yeah, have me question a bit too.

On SaiyanKCM's channel he casted 7 games between Flash and Jaedong a few days ago. This game was among them if I remember correctly. Flash won the series 5-2. So although Flash is experimenting quite a bit and not in the greatest form, he's heading in the right direction.

Request: Cast just FlaSh games, cast FlaSh games only, forget about all games but those where FlaSh is playing. Thanks

Artosis has been hype-ing Flash's comeback massively, like really a lot, and i believe that he is basically jinxing the hell out of Flash, which explains why he is losing 90% of the games since he came back.

@@StoicFlame The Korean's don't give a crap about Artosis. Also, everybody in the brood war scene is talking about Flash coming back. If you're just talking about "pressure" and "expectations" possibly having an effect on his gameplay, that's not "jinxing". Furthermore, to think that Flash's losses at this point in time is do to him feeling pressure is absurdly ridiculous. He's literally just playing games on the ladder and as far as he knows, nobody even knows it's him that they are playing. There's NO pressure other than just the normal pressure one feels when trying to win a ladder game. Once again, whatever "poor" play you think he has right now(didn't he beat jaedong in the previous 2 games?) is obviously explainable by the fact that he's getting back into shape again, and not because he's feeling pressure from people hyping him or "jinxes". Spoilers This game made me so frustrated with Flashes army usage... no cover with wraits or goliaths for the vessals or the battlecruisers... no firebats for darkswarm... no scv's with army to repair ANYTHING or make forward bunkers to hold favorable chokes and highground... Not to say Im better as a player, just wanted a bit more counterplay than being a punching bag for zerg. Hate to see zerg get their cinematic satisfaction. 😢 😡

@@dagadagad EMP doesn't kill P. EMP isn't even commonly used unless P goes arbiters. The reason T can go mass vessels in TvZ is because bio doesn't need much gas at all. In TvP mech is obviously used over bio due to Psi Storm, so all the gas goes towards extra factories, and tanks and goliaths.
