@@eddyvideostar the doctor said it's harmless. But if it's painful and enlarging in size then it's a problem, As per now it's fine.

@ bob02able: Thanks for your question. It is very well written. A benign lymph node is usually smooth, rubbery, and slightly movable. A malignant or cancerous lymph node is usually hard and fixed and keeps enlarging. I think your doctor is correct. However, if this lymph node continues to give you concern, it can be very easily removed. Good luck. Dr. Bob.

I recently remove three wisdom teeth one month ago two days after I noticed a bump under my chin . the surgery actually lasted for over 4hrs they said I have impacted teeth. I went back to the dentist and he had no idea what it is. he put me on liquid amoxicillin cause my jaw could only open about 4cm. I took the antibiotics and bump under my chin started to downsize. as my jaw gradually started to open then I noticed another bump under my ear on my neck that is firm large and unmovable. I'm scheduled for a CT scan soon . any idea on what is happening to me

I'm just going through this and my lump is hard, doesn't move, and has been there 10yrs but getting bigger and I noticed swelling on the bottom of my neck near my collar bone. And I've had symtoms the length of my leg over the yrs

In reply to Pam Swiger, I developed a pea sized lump on my neck way back in 1991 Within a matter of four or five months it had grown to around the size of a cherry tomato just like yours. The lump could be moved under the skin when pinched, yet it felt hard not soft. I had it removed some months later, in 1992, and when I got the results, they told me it was a benign cist. I was told they usually begin from a blocked pore, or hair follicle. Its a good idea to get it removed just to be sure.

i consulted to 4 eent doctors and 1 dentist, they said my lymph are normal and nothing to worry about, but my lymps are enlarged and moveable im worried so much , even doctors doesnt know what type of medicine should i take....

I have been suffering from a large lymph nodes in the middle of the top of the Brest bone. Got antibiotics and because of the covid19 I had to put pictures on phone. It has gone down as it was black bruised and big but still not better. Have you any idea what could be? It is painful, though it was infection from the fish tank

@Joey Swieton try not to worry too much - mono is incredibly common, whereas lymphoma in someone your age is not. Sounds like your doctors are doing the right checks and you're in good hands. If you have concerns, talk them through with your them - they know much better than Google does :)

i wanted to add that i contracted mrsa many yrs ago.in an hospital setting. i have suffered from reacurring infections over and over. i have several biols that have recently opened up on the swelling in my thigh/groin area. i am thinking this thing may be full of toxins that my kidnies r not flushing of my body enough anymore. i was never over weight in my life or had and physical health problems. until i was brutally attacked and beaten . now handicapted. from the injuries.

hey david, i'm currently dealing with the same problem, i have a bean sized lump in the back of my neck. how is everything now? hopefully well.

I've got many swollen lymph nodes in the neck, few behind the ears and in the groin too. So far no pain or anything. I'm 25 and I've had them since my childhood constantly. A doctor once told me it might be related to TB. Kinda freaking out seeing this vid

Hey doc. I have a lymp node on my left side of my neck.. its been there for almost 2 years already. I discovered it almost 2 years ago because my back neck was burning because i went on a field trip and the sun is strong. The lymp node is around a pea sized sometimes get smaller and a little bigger. Its movable and rubbery. Not painfull. I dont really have other too concerning symptoms like. I got a fever couple months ago for 1-2 days but thats about it. Other than that not too much concerning symptoms. ( And btw i felt like the area around the lymp node is darker but its hard to see maybe im just overreacting.)

That sound completely normal to me it might take quite a while for it to go back to normal but yes happens to a lot of people when they’re sick

I currently have a lump under my left ear near the top of my jaw line. It's hard fixed and immobile. The lump is inder the skin and feels the size of medium size marbel. I had an ultrasound and it was confirmed as a swollen lymph node. I went to the ENT months after he felt it again diagnosed the lump as a swollen lymph node. No further tests or investigations wore offered by the ENT. It's currently 9 months later. The lump is still present and has not reduced in size. The local GP will not send me for further investigations. The lump is painless but I feel numbness and pressure in the left side of my neck. During neck movements it feels like I have something attached. I have had other symptoms along the way since the lump became noticeable. My GP has never linked any these symptoms to my neck lump. I feel really disheartened by this. As I feel the NHS are not following the standard procedure investigating my swollen lymph node. I am desperate for advice. I am in the UK.

In reply to Morgan Alexis, I had a small pea sized lump on my neck some years back when I was around 34 years old. In time, it kept on growing until it was the size of a small pebble or a cherry tomato. I went to my doctor, and he felt it, and it was hard when squeezed, It could be moved under the skin, so he didn't think it was serious. However, I was sent to a specialist, and had it removed. It turned out to be a benign cist. Still, it's always worth getting things checked out.

I found an enlarged lymph node in my outter breast/axillary area. It's not painful. But has slightly grown since I noticed it. I went to my family doctor. And he did a breast exam, and said that he did feel nodules in my right breast as well. I am scheduled for a mammogram on February 5th. I was looking online, and it said it can take up to two weeks before you get your mammogram results. Why does it take so long?

I had swollen lymph nodes, one behind my left ear which is red, and one right below my left ear lobes which at first only hurt just a little when i first touched it, but subsequently the pain isn't there and the lymph nodes didnt really grow bigger or smaller, its maybe a bit smaller? i've had a swollen lyphph node/mass on my neck for 16 years and it has grown from a pea size to the size of a small cherry tomatoes size but it doesnt stick out and if you looked at my neck its not noticible,should i be worried have had other doctors look at it and they told me that if ive had it for 16 years and im still here that it must be nothing.

On one side of my neck I have a lymph node the size of a bean that is moveable never has gotten bigger on the other side I have a pea sized one that also moves and is smooth is it normal to have 1 bigger one on the other side?

We all have lymp nodes but if they are big/bigger you may have an infect or sore throat but if you have cancer it will just get bigger and you need to see a doctor right away before it effects more than just your throat! I'm glad to help I'm this was some helpful information 😊

@Lyka Reyes I've some swollen lymph nodes for years since childhood. they drove me crazy I've done lots of check ups and everything was OK, I read that it might be an HIV infection so I checked and it was negative. A doctor said that in some people lymph nodes stay swollen permanently after an infection

the lymph nodes in the base of my skull have been swollen before and went down....but recently i had a sinus infection, which has been gone for a month or so but my ears feel like they have fluid. a couple of days ago my right lymph node got swollen and hard, and last night above my lymph node, maybe another one? it is also swollen now. im a little concerned.

I'm 13. I've had a swollen lymph node in my neck for about 3 years now. I had a surgery scheduled last year but it was cancelled and never rescheduled. Both me and my mom are worried about it and want it to be removed we just need to talk to my doctor again. The thought of it scares me because brother had his removed about 8 years ago and broke out in staff infection and was in the hospital for about 2 weeks.

@skillsz0rs From experience, blood test don't detect most diseases, but they do bring up red flags for the doctor to look into.

@TheFryPupp: At age 15, swollen lymph nodes in the groin and neck are most likely secondary to mono or Epstein Barr Virus. I do think (very strongly) you should see a physician who can feel these enlarged lymph nodes and can get appropriate blood work that will take care of your fears. Good luck, Dr. Bob

I have just recently been diagnosed with an Inguinal Hernia on the left hand side of my groin. I have been told that I will need surgery to repair this. One thing puzzles me, and that is that the surgeon told me that he is going to do a biopsy of my lymph node in that area. It has got me worried that maybe he has picked up on something else going on down there when he examined me. Can anyone enlighten me?

A lymph node that size isn’t even swollen. A lymph node is considered swollen if her diameter is 1cm, and in the groin that boundary is 1.5cm. Dont worry. Small lymph nodes in the groin are completely normal.

@Not4QuickScoper there are loads of reasons, including cuts, scratches, mild infections etc. The vast majority of them are nothing to worry about. Being young, the chances of it being something scary is low, but it's only a doctor who can diagnose, so go along and get yourself checked :)

Little recognition here I to am 17. I am a hypochondriac (paranoid person). I go to the doctors everymonth for a check up I can feel my glands on the groin area and neck. Apparently if your rather skinny it is completely natural to be able to feel them infact it would be worrying if you could not. I've had several blood test and I'm completely fine. If you are worried get one. Also keep track of the condition of your glands like he mentions in the video if tender and rough get checked ASAP. Oth

i have a swollen lymph nodes on my thigh for about a week i dont have any wounds.. what do you think is the cause pls help

I have two in the groin, two under my armpits on both sides, one near my collarbone , one on my neck and one in front of my ear. I don’t know what’s causing it

@@aamirdar2546 I had 20 lymph nodes, high fevers with bad muscle pain and full rashes. It hasn’t went away but I figured out it is a autoimmune disease

My lymph node is hard but not moveable and I have no other signs or infection like sore throat. I'm mid 40's and think it's cancer. Going to Dr. And the node is painless.

Last week I noticed a swollen small lymph node below my ear on my neck, then during the week a few more lymph nodes in my neck swelled up, I went to the doctor, I got a CBC done, and that shows I have an slightly increased white blood cell count (13.7) I believe it was, and my lymphocytes are high. The doctor said that I have mono, and I have a mild case (he says this because of my lack of symptoms), and I should be better in a week, and to come back in a month.... I fear that I have lymphoma..

I have a small swollen lymph node under my jaw... Took some antibiotics.. And the size reduced.. Again.. After a couple of days.. I got a mild fever... And lymph node started to swell a lil... Is there something to worry about?

It has been biopsy was negative and after that its size get reduced ..but it is still in my throt

My brother is 6 years old . He had a lymph node on the right side above the artillery. It has been there for almost 2 years the same size 0.72×1.88cm not increasing . USG report claims he has cervical adenopathy . The lymph node are very small plea size but clearly visible a little bit hard moveable with artillery. He has no other symptoms no pains nothing else . But only the swollen lymph node which is also not increasing. Does anyone have this problem ?

What if they come and go as in they flare every 3 weeks and then disappear till the next and you get the under your arms (armpit) not one side but either? Abs what if it’s been a year. Like I said the lumps don’t stay they flare feel rubbery but not moveable under the skin like it doesn’t roll at all I feel unwell during the episode and then it goes away along with the lump. There must be a medical explanation for this come on! I’m 23 also my esr rate have come up abnormal could this be related at all? You probs wondering why I’m posting this instead of asking a doctor because they … they don’t help the service and care of nhs here in london is appalling. They need to see you dead to take you seriously.

The side of my face is swollen

The only real side effect that I have felt is not being able to lunge properly, whenever I do it, I feel a sharp pain at the front of my groin. Other than that, everything is fine. I am palying my sport regularly again

I have lumph nodes on my neck both sides and also scan sub cm reactive lumph node in my axillary, low grade fever, tiredness, sore throat, but chest x-ray clear and cbc is OK, 1doctor said fna biopsy other said wait and watch, I m confused, what I do

Ok good i just had a sore throat

Anyone coming to this video in fear, I would like to put in my input. I have more than 10 enlarged lymphnodes, all smooth all ranging from different sizes. Many doctor trips because I suffer from so many anxiety and paranoia disorders. After bloodtests I have an infection but I do not have a bad infection I tested positive for a strep test, I have not felt sick even once. they gave me amoxicillin and when i finished that they told me i probably did not even need it but I have not had any lymphnodes go away either, all the ones i have felt have been there for months now at least almost 5 months. I'm not certain about what is going on. I am going in again soon to get another checkup

@@bubbletea7029 yep, i have more than 10 lymphnodes within my neck and face. all different sizes. none of them are cancerous. and yes they are all smoothe, another sign they are non harmful. When your body goes through some type of infection many lymphnodes can form and never go away.

Is it still possible i get the reply? I have so many lumps doctor, they have been there for years. They are movable, and just stay in the same size since the first, but i have many. In neck, groins, under the jaw, and others. All are in the Bean size, they can only be known when i touch them, so they are mostly invisible. Should it be normal? Pls reply :)

Same problem with me.. i used to have 1 but after biopsy it has become multiple... mother lymph has enlarged its bout 5 to 6 cm n below that 5 6 more gland has formed its hard n painful... sometimes the pain raise to ear head n shoulder n arms its unbearable i have fever or tonsils at dat time...Its below my ears..even i have hypothyroid along with dat.
