Mickey Loomis has been good for the SAINTS, mainly for bringing in Payton and Brees, but I don't think his kicking the can down the road policy is working without those guys.

Yea it stinks because it takes away hope. Like ok maybe we get 10 wins this year but we enter next yr almost $100m over the cap with Carr about to get paid top $ and most of the top paid guys around 35. For multiple seasons in a row he could've fixed it, but he just doesn't. We just restructured Carr & Taysom & Ramcyzk. Leak Lattimore rumors but kept him. Kamara wants out for 2/3 seasons in a row, isn't used well, but still nothing. Every off-season is the same where we can't sign FAs bc of his approach. It seems like he's got us all in on this yr and then in a tight bind the 2/3 seasons after. I don't even understand the logic. Not to mention we're not even locking up our best young talent. Guys like Shaheed & Adebo we should want to pay before guys like Carr & Ruiz. It's like he can't even self scout objectively.

It’s definitely “do or die” for Allen. This team has under achieved & under performed for years. 7-9, 8-9 ain’t gonna cut it.

Mickey Loomis got lucky getting Sean Peyton. Sean Peyton got lucky getting Drew Brees. Drew Brees was the prize. Drew Brees leaves. The Saints start the decline. Then Sean Payton leaves because he sees the decline without Drew.. It's time for Mickey Loomis to go because he don't have a clue. As time goes on we will see that both Sean Peyton and Mickey Loomis are both overrated and are nothing without Drew Brees.

Well they did build a team the best team(s) in saints history it’s a team effort.. shit if chargers didn’t trade Eli for Philip Rivers and drew didn’t get hurt we wouldn’t have drew and drew was mid with the chargers.. Sean drafted a great o line one of the best ever.. shit the best ever o line but the worst defense ever also take the good with the bad

@@SoTrue144 Mickey became The Saints General Manager in 2002 and went 28-36-0 until they got Sean Payton and Drew Brees in 2006. From 2006 to 2008 with Sean Payton and Drew Brees The Saints went 25-23-0. In 2009 the Saints win the Super Bowl. Sean Payton was basically making the football decisions with who they would draft and how they would build the team.. From 2009 to 2011 under Sean Payton and Drew Brees leadership they went 37-11-0. So, yes Mickey Loomis is clueless as to how to build a champonship team because it was Sean Payton making the decisions and the elite quarterback play of Drew Brees that was driving the winning culture. It was not Mickey Loomis. I think you are an ignorant clueless fan.

Sean was basically playing the role of like a Bill Belichick but without the General Manager tittle. That's why they were so sad to see him go. Sean Payton went out and got Drew Brees. Have you not seen his interviews where he talks about how he was scouting Drew Brees and he knew Drew had something left in him after his injury with the Chargers? It was not Mickey Loomis trying to get Drew because he did not have a clue.

The direction or lack of direction of the Saints Franchise from the top--Gayle--down is killing the fanbase and the franchises' future. Loomis will never be fired. Period. He's Gayle's special person. Allen, unless the team completely craps the bed, I think keeps his job. Carr, in my opinion, is really the only one whose job is in serious jeopardy. And I may be in the minority, but I feel strongly that unless the team lays an egg, Allen should be given at least one more year with kubiak to see what they can do. I don't think the team needs to be completely blown up. You do that and you really are only moving backwards and may wind up with a lot worse than you have.

I still think Kubiak came to the Saints for one reason. To wait it out in the wings for this season, then after Allen, the HC job will be his. Probably not a bad move. The 2025 Saints team is the one I am looking forward to, but who knows, hoping Allen and Carr proves us all wrong this year. I can eat crow under those conditions.

@@larrymcclain8874 Well, that might be true. Personally, unless this team breaks less than 8 wins, I hope they retain Allen and give he and kubiak an additional season together. Blowing it up under any other circumstances would be much worse in my opinion. I think we would all be waiting longer than we'd like for a playoff berth if that happens.
