The board thinks signing 20 year olds for billions is a better choice than signing a proper proven 20-goal a season striker who can make a difference in tight matches. The entire club has deteriorated in the past two years in every department. 10th and 11th positions actually reflect the true state of Chelsea now. Billion dollar bottlejobs is absolutely correct.

The amount of protection Chelsea get from the media is staggering. Just imagine if this was Arsenal or UTD. They would be absolutely ripped to shreds.

Pochetino is no longer a problem at chelsea., I have checked the highlights for some games and now I have realized that players are the cause of failure at Chelsea., you can't be creative more than 5 clear chances and you can't even score 1 goal., the players need to put more effort, dedication & hard work on finishing the chances they create., otherwise they will finish 15 this season 😢

They were always seen as the black sheep of the big London clubs, they started to challenge in the 90s with the likes of flo, gianfranco zola, Denis wise, hasselbaink... A lot of people are making the mistake of counting average age to argue against the Neville's quote. We are talking about the lineups especially during the extra time, not the actual squad. Then the average age is similar with Chelsea's might be still a bit younger but that is only because average age of Liverpool would get inflated by VVD and Endo (two 30-31 plus players). In fact, average age is a term for laymen. Real stat should be median age. This is the same reason why median wage is used and not average wage. Point is Chelsea had more early twenties to mid twenties players and most of them are experienced and expensive while Liverpool actually had teenagers on the field and players who had just few senior minutes between them.

Non of the starting eleven of Chelsea where in the final 2 years ago... put that in perspective

On paper the players Chelsea bought for such big fees were supposed to be the best of the best so the expectation was also there for them to start performing immediately or soo enough. And to see ppl come up with such excuses for what is poor recruitment is just rich.

Time is essential but it’s so rare for managers in today’s game to have enough time. Embarrassing for Chelsea that performance and tactics near the end. Why they decided to sit back after that second half push I’ll never know. Penalties should be avoided at all costs
