There was a cat over here in the UK that lived in an end of life care hospital and everything time it would go and lay next to a patient and stay with them that patient would die within hours. The cat new when someone was dying and would comfort them in their final hours.

I've seen this story in a French documentary! It reminded of when I was a kid, my mom's cat got sick, and my cat starting cuddling the other cat even though they normally disliked each other. My cat could see she didn't feel good. As soon as my mom's cat got better my cat went back to ignoring her lol

This is very true! My cat literally jumped right through my window and fell 10 flights down. When I ran downstairs to check on him, he just stared at me licking his paws. I took him to the vet and he had no injuries, not even a scratch. Cats are amazing!

I have tachycardia and my cat whos been with me for 5 years now never fails to alert me to an episode, the last black out I had was at 2am in the dark and he knew to run into our room and wake up my fiance. I dont know how animals know, but they sure care way more than they have to ❤❤❤

He didn't mention it but when he called the African Black Footed Cat Travel size, he means they get no bigger than 4 lbs. They can also trek up to 20 miles a night. Tiny, adorable little killing machines.

They are and have always been predators and carnivores. If you have a garden and a cat trap, they will spend most of the night hunting and probably and bring you a "lovely" present in the shape of a dead mouse or other....

The one that you were admiring the physique of- that was a lioness. No mane, she (in this case). Very young lions don't have a mane, but the one in the pic looks like a healthy adult female lioness.😊

Fun fact cheetah can't retract their claws, it's for grip and the lion with all the muscles is a female lioness and they do the hunting except in a certain area where the males join in because they hunt mostly full grown elephants.

lions rarely hunt fully grown elephants, except maybe if the elephant is sick or elderly and an easy target, which again is probably a rare opportunity for them. it takes 2 adult males to take down an elephant. it is not a common thing at all either way though. when they hunt elephants, its mainly young ones. males mainly hunt buffalo, giraffes, and other big game similar to that.

There are 2 monsters that mimic calls that I can think of. The first is a wendigo, a mythological creature, evil spirit, or a human hunter turned monster due to cannibalism originating from the folklore of Plains and Great Lakes Indigenous People, also told of being a humanoid emaciated "forever-starving" stag creature known to mimic voices of family or friends to gain another meal. The second is a Skinwalker, known to mimic peoples voices calling out for help or screaming to lure people to check out the area. Once it captures its meal will rip off the skin of its prey and eat the rest before basically wearing the skin and live that persons "life" until its next meal.

Cats are amazing. I'm hooked on their abilities and personality. You cannot "train" a cat, you must analyze their likes, dislikes.... and NEVER hurt their feelings. You have to be an inquisitive person to unlock your cats best traits. I have 3 AMAZING cats currently, all personally rescued. 1 dumped on side of road, 1 lived in a garage, and most recently a frozen, near death 4wk old kitten.

Me too, I'm hooked. I didn't have to train my cats. They instinctively knew what they needed to do once you introduce something to them. They're so smart. And yes don't hurt their feelings, they are sentient. My cats are rescues too. I already lost count how many cats I've had (all rescues). I only got 2 cats left. I grieve everytime one passes away.

There's a reason why Ernst Stavro Blofeld is the most iconic James Bond movie villain : without his majestic feline he's just a weird baldie with a weird accent.

That purring also helps them repair bone fractures after falls faster. Meaning the meny cases where a cat dies suffer some damage from a fall they can be mostly healed within days or weeks instead of weeks and months. Have a slight bone fracture go find a place to hide rest purr and within days you are 70% healed and able to go out and hunt and within a week you are 80% healed and in three weeks it is almost like the bone never had a crack in it. That same injury on a human would take at least 4 elweks to heal if properly treated and at least an air cast was put on it and worn most of the time.
