Fun fact: Canadians actually had to pass a law so that when we apologize, its not an "admission of guilt" Too many Americans were coming up here, rear ending our cars, and then claiming that we acknowledged fault by apologizing and were liable.
Most from the prairies and country/burbs are very polite but I've met plenty of people from GTA and Vancouver who's "politeness" comes off as being passive aggressive. And of course Quebec and the maritimes are their own countries basically

Manz got offended from being called polite
People made that "aboot" joke so much that so many Canadians now say it ironically, which became a self fulfilling prophecy lol I say it all the time now, have for years, and I can't even stop
Aboot is fairly common in Britain anyway, quite likely something to do with the Scottish in regards to Canada.
Is he talking about Wolverine?
Fuck if derick let him go in front of him in a que the whole universe would implode
From my experience they’re major potheads all my Canadian friends have been crazy with the ganja
The person who found aluminum actually called it aluminum and not aluminium.
That's a hefty underbite
I'm french i feel that lmao we say Aluminium too
Nah that was a classic canadian vibe check, bc if the homies are still f#cken with you, I dont have nothing to worry about
I’m 37 years old and literally never knew it was said that way lmao. Also I’ve been to England twice just never heard it. It sounds so different it makes you pause but I love it
Im favorite fact about canada is The BC Apology Act. It states that an apology isnt an admition of guilt. because we as a people are so inclined to politely apologies.

Aluminium has an extra i vs the us spelling
On my first trip to Canada, an old lady passing me on the freeway flipped me off for driving the speed limit. And I thought to myself, "Sometimes stereotypes are just stereotypes" 😂
Have him say PASTA
It’s true Canadians are extremely nice people. My family is Canadian and the last time I went to visit i could not believe how nice people were to us. Also they’re from Victoria which has a very British feel to the city
I’m British so we pronounce everything like we’re slow

He's not Canadian a Canadian can't interrupt someone while speaking duh
I spell it aluminum and pronounce it aluminium for no reason.
Aluminium ❤
There's only one type of aluminum.
It would have really blown Derek's mind if he had said the letter "Z", since people in Canada and other places but the US, it seems, say "Zed" instead of "Zee", for the letter itself.
I was working at a mill in 2007 and a guy said Al u min ium to me and I went to my uncle who I was working for and told him I didn’t know what the guy was saying to me. I felt pretty dumb when I realized it was aluminum.
LOL
Stew? Derek?
Dude aluminium ≠ Aloominum
Sounds like St. Petersburg, but in bigger scale, and located in the west. Respect, Canadians, huge respect. Someone must be civilized.
I like the way he says aluminum, it sounds expensive when he says it. Like he should be a aluminum salesman people will be thinking that they’re getting adamantium or something.
When I first started watching derek I didn't notice at first, until a couple of "okays" revealed his nationality 😂

we were polite, but now its mostly weakness that has allowed us to straight up find ourselves under a government that is setting up programs to euthanize the homeless and mentally ill. No jokes, thats what we're doing, its called MAID and we offer it to veterans who are struggling, those who suffer depression and homelessness and standards will most likely get less stringent and soon you could probably get the process started just by saying you feel bored most of the time.
