There is so much more info and circumstances i could not fit in 15 minutes but one big thing that was missed out is the potential collapse of ABSCBN on Television, hence why all the artistas are migrating to youtube in fear of job security. I have spoken with many about this and they really believe ABSCBN might not be on tv next year. I have trouble believing this (ABSCBN not on TV?!?!) but what do you think about this situation???

Contractual obligations. Wil's main channel carries some brand endorsements, that may conflict with Alodia's own brand endorsements. Hence the need for Wil's second channel, same as Alodia's "Alodia Uncut" since Wil is also not necessarily packaged with Alodia's contracts.

If that is the case then Alodia probably thinks Wil is boring too and not worthy of her main channel? Lol. Let's face it, they have different genres. They can't force content together all the time. Which is why they have their second channel's to accomodate fans who are more into their "Wilodia" stuff, and not their respective main genres, Daily Vlogs and Cosplay/Gaming, for Wil and Alodia respectively.

Is it just me? Or who else here got goosebumps while watching this vlog? Real talk it is!

Here's my honest view on this issue. My concern with these celebrity "vloggers" is that they're all joining the bandwagon. The vlogging community before was solely for creators who provide genuine content. KZread now is full of celebrity vloggers with few or nothing to offer while raking all the views, taking advantage of their celeb status. While other underrated LEGIT content creators don't get noticed as they should be. Smh.

Marami nagagawa sa KZread di lang naman tungkol sa vlogging. Dito lang naman halos lahat hindi lang artista nag vlovlog kahit mga nanay, guro pwede basta't may camera ka pwede na. Sana hindi lahat mag focus lang sa pag vlovlog meron din naman iba pang ginagawa sa KZread kagaya sa ibang bansa tulad ng informative, tungkol sa history, science, sports at marami pang iba na hindi kailangan makita ang mukha ng KZreadr. Nagiging public yung buhay nila ultimo offtopic na o hindi dapat ipakita sa Video na ginagawa. Nawawalan ng privacy yung kinukunan nila tao man o lugar for security reason.

This is very informative, relevant and an eye opener. I was thinking the same - why celebrities need to share market in KZread? But through this video. I have a better understanding and a lot of realizations. I know “vlogging” is not easy but I never thought that it would be tough job. It really test your patience, creativity and your ability to influence and catch viewers/audience. I hope one of this day my channel with be loved and appreciated by viewers. God bless to all!!!

This is the reason why I love Dasovich. Humble and honest. Everyone has a sad story but look at you now. Proud of you man.

I saw an interview of Alex Gonzaga recently, and she said, ABSCBN did not renew her contract before she started vlogging. And the time she started to do KZread, it opened alot more opportunities for her. Wil inspired me alot, that is why I started vlogging 2017, and not everyone knows about VLOG during that time. I must agree to what Wil said in this video, the part where he said about "exercising our passion". I only got 940 subscribers for the past TWO YEARS. Moral lesson? Audience and money are bonus when you exercise your passion in this industry. And weather you have a small audience to watch you, so long that you love what you are doing, you will still continue to DO your passion. JUST KEEP GOING, just like what Alex and Wil did! ☺️

It's been almost 2 years since I last followed your vlogs because I thought that the content was getting a little grim and it somehow made me feel uncomfortable and lose interest with much of your content. Sometimes I even just watch your vlogs because I used to brag to my friends that I am a fan of yours but doesn't really listen to what your content was. But recently, I started to watch your new vlogs even in your new channel and I am super happy that the Wil that used to inspire me everyday is now back and gives me more motivation that I used to get. And with regards to this content that you created, which is kind of misleading, is just super awesome and really inspiring! I never knew that vlogs would even reach this level of publicity. And I'm just super ecstatic because I can proudly say that I saw how you and the OG vloggers of YT changed its shape and face of vlogging in the PH society. I've been watching vlogs ever since 2013 and I always share it to my friends like "i wanna try vlogging bla bla" or "you should try watching vlogs" or I would jokingly film and say "say hi to my vlog" and they would ALWAYS correct me and say "its blog not vlog" because obviously they still dont don't know about vlogs. I would always try to explain like "no i mean it. Its vlog. Like a blog but in a video thats why its called vlog" and they would look at me as if I was being "stupid" until I got tired with their reactions and I would just secretly smirk and thought to myself "lol i dont even want to explain myself anymore. Someday you'll know I wasn't being stupid. You're just outdated" and now everyone knows about it. It's nice. Thanks for all the deep talks! This one for me is your best video. Been a fan since your beki street lingo challenge with pudra Wil. I remember back in 2016 while I was just watching videos from FBE and the REACT videos and I was wondering, is there anyone that creates content like this in the Philippines? Then your name came up, and every day I would check out for new videos from your channel because you were really entertaining. You've come a long way, I know the pressure is heavier as your channel grows. But there's one thing that was constant all throughout, it's your humility. Your down to earth quality is heart-warming and I was even surprised you thought of jumping onto Pasig River. I wanted to start my own youtube channel before but I never had the chance to own a good camera and I had zero experience with video editing. The dream still lives on as your channel exists, I bought a DSLR and started to study its photo and video aspects. But I've settled to become an amateur photographer, who knows maybe someday I actually will become a vlogger. Thank you for being that inspiration to the man that I am today and Wil be in the future! (pun intended). :)

I don't know but i feel like they're doing the same now, every one is doing "challenge content", lifestyle, pranks and dramatic cinematography in every place they've been to. The most unique vlogger i've seen is Bald and Bankrupt and Drew Binsky.

I’ve been in KZread for quite sometime already more or less 5 years. Might as well say that I started when eveyone was also shaming and questioning me while I was vlogging too. 😂 It came to a point where stop creating videos because of this issue. I lost track and felt disappointed. Still trying but sometimes felt lazy thinking that no one will watch my videos because of this matter. Now, everything changed... Thank you for helping & guiding me through this video. Never knew my thoughts about this would shift that fast. Now, it’s much clearer for me, setting everything positively instead of being negative about personalities coming into KZread. Might as well be thankful instead for bringing in more audience. But a challenge for us to create more content and explore the passion that we want to pursue. Everything you mentioned was right, and I felt more inspired to continue and push though. It's fitting that one of the OGs of the Philippine vlogging community thread on this topic, it's just so legit and credible coming from him. Really good points here. Like any orther platforms, no one has exclusivity to each. In the end, it's still the choice of the viewers, the content they prefer, the brand and credibility of the vlogger regardless of the number of content makers. Competition is inevitable, especially if it's good competition. Serves us well too, more options, broader content. Just please....don't be a click bait. 😊

I really love this vlog Wil. You talked about what all of us creators think about most of the time. In my opinion. Celebs or artistas who start vlogging is like a double edge sword. On one hand, it can help inspire those who want to start a youtube channel. On the other hand, it also gives newer creators the idea that if they start a youtube channel, they’ll blow up or go viral as fast as them. I know some celebrity channels that only have 3 videos uploaded but has a 100k subscribers. As for me. This just makes me more motivated in creating quality content and to just keep grinding regardless of how many subs I have or how many views my videos get (which isn’t a lot! Lol) and you’re right. It’s not about competing. It’s about sharing. I learned everything I know about vlogging by watching you and Casey Neistat. And I’m not gonna lie. I watch celebrity channels too and I also learn from them a lot. So what is my point? My point is creators who aren’t celebrities should not get threatened by celebrity youtubers/creators/influencers, or whatever you want to call them. We should just accept the fact that youtube is becoming that big of a community and to embrace the evolution of this platform. I hope I made sense! Lol. I thank you. Bow. 😂

A lot of sense! Aside from the monetization feature of KZread, it remains to be a video-based social media platform. KZread was originally meant to share videos. I understand how some however have chosen to view KZread as a career, and that's where some may feel THREATENED seeing as their value as entertainers may pale in competition with celebrities. But fortunately in KZread, what matters is the CONTENT. No matter how popular a celebrity is, shitty content will never get anyone far. So just keep creating, hone one's skills and success will follow.
