alt accounts are definitely worth doing if your goals is 120 stats or even 5,4b or some other crazy stuff, the amount of gp you can make sideway will help your main account to speed it up by using alot of the expensive metodes of training, also a main account does need skills like fishing, cooking, fm, etc. all those hours you afk on a main there is alot of hours to make a good alt account. be smart if you dont have one yet, use the Raf scrolls from the new account and make that account the new Alt account, close to double xp weekends, also it will get the scrolls of 10% plus the first month it will get a xp buff :)

if youre afk skilling with your maini then its worth it

Sign of the porter IV, lotd, Gote, and runite spirits at the rune ore in priff is around 1.5m-2m /h and is semi afk if you want to click the seren spirits.

My main ended up being an alt for my new account now after i got trim comp some months ago. Definetely worth it for the extra gp, and all the afk xp as well :D

AFK mining with gote/porters + stone spirits and jujus are incredibly afk and great money an hour, like afk to the point you only need to make sure the acc stays logged in.

my alt is almsot always played on teh side of my main, and i put my alt on mining runite and it makes very decent money to sustain my main.

I've made an ancient bone farm alt during double xp weekend, 90 herb - 90 pray - 92 fletching. You usually get 2.4m profit per day by making vamp scrimshaws. 90 smithing + crafting + cooking helps too for making tetsu & death lotus helms and rocktail soups if you didn't get any ancient bone missions. Invention machines are good too but i'm too lazy to train divination again lol

Started using my main as an alt account after converting to ironman. Made 12m in on the first day just afk fishing while training on my ironman. I want to buy bonds for every preset and more bank space on my ironman and it's definitely worth it!

I have an alt account because I sometimes get bored of high level stuff and can't bring myself to train any skills already at 99. I sometimes just enjoy low level accounts. Not to mention the level my main alt account is at, it has been so long since I have been there that It is cool to see all the stuff I can do now. I can also re-do some of my favorite quests. Also more free shit from quest point shop.

Anyone know of a good world/location/time (like world 48 in Burthorpe at reset for divine yews) with low level divine locations for alt accounts? I just created an alt over this double xp period and would like to use divine locations to help build up lower level skills.

As an 07 veteran I have an army of accounts people have left me with decent stats and 1 is max combat. Thanks I've been squandering their potential

I made a zerker account long before eoc and stopped playing it when eoc came out. Hopped on it from time to time but didn't really play on it. Recently decided I wanted to use an alt account and thought it would be perfect. Found out it had been hacked and botted on. Appealed the perm bad and got the account back and the botter basically maxed my combat stats :)

One thing I'm wondering if you could do on an alt is use your mains POD? I haven't used one yet so does your main just have to be logged in? Could do things like spiritual warriors afk on it without needing 99 slay on the alt

You can let it use your PoD but you still require the slayer level

What do people do for shops runes ? What runes people buy nature death and blood and high level ones ?

I have 4 acc's always on, 1 is fishing , 1 is smithing (moneymake) 1 is D pick farming and my main is training 200m xp in skills etc + just watching movies or series / yt on another screen, always stuff to do, and if ur insane u can even play LoL with at the same time with 2-3 other acc's making money for u :)

i did that too but I had 5 in total. but now my main is nearly max. I make enough gold a day to have no gold problems. I could use one f2p alt. but its only about 1m at max. on my main i do that in 5min with daily runs. all the clicking is not worth it. I can instead focus more on a movie or read a book if you set up a little 4 mouse system setup then you could do main +4 f2p alts at the same time. splitting your screen intro 4. with macro thats easy. you only focus on one of the clients. and when you click a spot the macro auto clicks the same on other 3 clients too. 4 alts are doing the same because your mouse clicks the same spots on every 4 parts of your screen on 4 rs clients.. or you could make 3 of them follow 1 and when they arrive at the destination they all do the same. really easy to manage. wc, mining, fishing, archaelogy, tanning, smithing... splitting your screen in to 4. you need of course a bigger monitor for that. 32"+. but with decent lvl you could do 3m/h + the gold you make on your main. maybe semi afk slayer for about 4m/h and thats min very easy to manage spots, I can do 5-6m easily... if you do that for 3h you could make a lot of gold. ~21m+/D for only 3h. you need 6 bonds for 3 months. 180m/90 days. do this about 1 time a week and you got your free membership for 3 month. the bot for clicking all four clients is easy. at a resolution of 1920x1080 you just have to add/subsract 540 and 960 for horizontal.

Yes, definetly. I play from India and we have no dedicated RS server(we had but got removed due to botters D:) and I feel if I'm a paying person I should be getting my moneys worth(other games have Singapore server-60 ping or they have Indian server-5 ping vs my 140 ping on runescape). So I created an alt smithing f2p account and it now has 89 smithing with some other stats and cosmetics. This helped me soo much for paying my membership on my main which is really close to max. Sorry for long comment.

I used to when I was merching and flipping.. I still am, but not as much Edit: I have an alt acc with 99 herblore and cleaning herbs is very profitable with the cape. You can earn that 1 bond in just one day or less, just cleaning 3 herbs and max limit.

I always play my second account when playing my main second account is constantly farming money while slaying on it and my main training my other skills

What do you think of making an alt to duo bosses alone? Obviously not at something like arraxor, but would you think it would be a viable option for something like kbd?

If you are that low level that you cant solo kbd for a long time then i would say spend the time leveling your main acc instead of an alt. You wont need to be very high level to solo him for as long as you want to man

Just to quote now with how much has come out, and bonds now around 94m, there is ways to still make bonding for afk secondary bonding, but its gonna take about 30-40 hours a bond now, so a afk alt for passive income. edit to say for f2p alt, there are quicker bonds if you bond it out, but 30-40 hours for a f2p alt.

ADHD, stimulation addicted and I was sick of staring at the combat or long actions. With 1 alt my brain is finally bored to death a little less. I also love managing games. I think 4 will be perfect gameplay-wise.

Gee. I've started a number of Alts. 5 in fact. I play 3 of them regularly. It's fun to redo quests. And all 3 are over lol 99 on all skills.

daily alt shop/farm runs with decent adventures, tasks and skills should be around 2-3m/half hour. or 1.5m in 10min if you only do the best of them (vax, mushrom, pof, ...) which is worth it.

I just been killing f2p bots at cursed energy about 30 mins to a hours is 1 to 2m or more depends if I get lucky

You could also mine luminte ore on multiple accounts, it's free to play, low req and will get you some nice cash

i have 1 main and 3 alts and i pay for all of them with irl money for members lol. i have a good job and for 2 of the accounts im still at the $5 a month instead of the ridiculous price it is today.

I'm working on maxing on my alt just so I can use a maxed account to introduce my friends to RuneScape's real content. The sad thing is I got a C on my mid term but the alt is already a fifth of the way to max cape AND I just got 94 ranged on OSRS and am almost at 95 already while working full time. What is sleep? But anyway, yes. If you're one of the five people who still plays RuneScape 3, might as well have an alt.

True story

30 hours on an alt for 20m profit or 2 hours on main for 20m. 60 hours on alt at 1m/hrs for same. Or 60 hours on alt at 2m/hrs for 80m profit (vs 8 hours on main). Tbh I prefer just using a main, but if I did more afk stuff more often I'd consider it.

That's kinda how I'm looking at it. If I put even any effort into making GP, I could make tons more of it just playing my main than screwing around on the alt to make a fraction of it. That being said, it would be nice to re-experience some things from the early levels of the game that I played back in 2002 and never experienced post-EOC.

Use an alt account for abyss runecrafting by barging to it to reach the Zamorak Mage faster. Have it wear a demonic skull to bypass the level limit and afk near the mage. Doing this will earn you the robotically efficient title!!1!

Yeah as an American his pronunciation of alt was jarring to me. Alt is short for alternate, and I have never heard someone pronounce alternate with a short a.
