Maybe they should be called “This recipe isn’t for me” or “Recipes I won’t make for a 2nd time”…😁

Experience of the cook often plays a big part. Also, that cook’s experience with the crowd they are cooking for. My friend - a very experienced home cook - knew about halfway through making a cheese & pasta casserole that it was gonna be a dud for us. She tried to salvage it but it was too rich and too bland for our palates. But none of us gathered would say it was a “bad” recipe. Just not to our liking and not worth the effort to doctor it up to try again.

I wish this video was longer! Maybe including the full videos for cheesecake, spaghetti sauce, and brownies? Not sure, but it felt like I'm *missing* parts of the video.

If a recipe is missing information to make it properly then it's a poorly written recipe and deserves a bad rating

I don't think it deserves a bad rating just because it doesn't say to slowly mix one thing into the other. Maybe the writer didn't know that was a thing people did, or thought everyone did it automatically. It deserves revision because it is poorly written as you said

Some of the "worst rated recipes" aren't bad. Keyword; *_some._* Sometimes there's trolls who put fake bad reviews, or Karens, then there's the factor that it might just not be popular or it's brand new.

I have given a bad rating because it was supposed to be gluten free and some of the things it was saying to add ( including naming the brand) were not truly gluten free/celiac friendly. Not everyone knows that tho bc of the hidden glutens and it could make someone very sick

When I was younger I tried to make gnocchi from scratch. It was a highly rated recipe, but I was inexperienced and a child so it turned out horrible. I started crying so my dad bought me some store bought gnocchi to make me feel better. It was tragic, but I don’t blame the recipe.
