The first figure you showed was the 3.75in figure if I am correct, for being that small it really does good have articulation and looks nice

@WGPhil-uw5cs Quality of figures nowadays are really good but sometimes they are lazy asf, like repaints, lack of or no accessoras, and with a damn expensive price point, I just get the figures I collect on ross/Burlington or on sales online.

@gallaxseizor9216 not a fan of how most toy companies priced kids out of collecting and now it's just an adult hobby so they can comfortably rise the price. Wouldn't be surprised the basic 6 inch figure ends up 50 to 60 dollars in 10 years. We already at 30.

in fairness to ball jointed hips, i didn't think they could ever be done correctly either, but they don't look bad on the diamond select colossus

I love that 3.75 fig 😂 i remember finding it at Ross one time for 5.99 but it was a lot more expensive on the secondary market. As far as toybiz goes tho I definitely don't like the raggedy ann kind of aesthetic in my opinion The figures are improving

Not gonna lie. I had an awesome Toby figure and it even had magnets in the hands and feet so he can be positioned to wall crawl on metal surfaces. WITH toe articulation. That was Spider-Man 2 era. And even though figures back then weren’t perfect. That particular one was.

It’s easy to look back and be like these are dog shit. However… at the time those were the ones to have. Cleary this guy never owned toybiz stuff because this was like a major up grad from a lot of those. That fig is also not technically a marvel legend.

First one was the GOAT of 3.75 movie Spider-men, don't know wth you talking about man. I agree Walmart exclusive Amazing Spider-man was an atrocity 😂 Toybiz Spider-men have great sculpted detail, had good paint apps, display bases etc but by today standards the anatomic proportions just don't cut it my man. Legends Tobey is mediocre leaning to bad. Legends Amazing Spider-man could be a little better in the articulation departament but otherwise is... Amazing, no pun intended 😂

I think it’s a matter of more or less quality equals more or less style, the older figures had a better quality by a better range of movement in articulations, in exchange for a worse aesthetic and overall look because of those ball joints, the new thigh pieces make the figure look better, but restrict movement. In details like painting jobs on accessories there’s not much to say, most probably they spent more budget into the figure itself and it’s paintings rather than the accessories. Edit: Obviously this also applies for even the whole figure at times, as an example the Sam Raimi figure, but worse since it’s got a worse look, and gives just as much range of motion, poses, etc as other figures.

ML Tobey gets too much hate. It’s honestly a solid and amazing fig

No it’s pretty fair. The paint Job is lazy and the articulation is ok. I like it and it’s better than there first Tobey ml back from 2008 but it’s still not good.

The 3.75 spider-Man figure I’ve been wanting that for years now but it’s really hard to fine on eBay plus it’s the best figure in my opinion but like the amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure looks a lot better with amount of detail

Hasbro still releases trash cause of their laziness. Can't even incorporate the double joint for both waists and hips. Also still uses old female bodies with no proper waist movement at all. "Trash".

The Amazing Spider-Man first suit looks like that because it’s trying to be real listic and the amazing Spider-Man 2 Looks Like Tobey Maguire Spider-Man suit

I feel like marvel legends is the only toyline that would go down for the countless reuse of the same molds they use and the accessories which are near to basically nothing only 2 possible 3 hands and that's it

All of the figures are different lines. Hasbro products are notoriously inconsistent in quality! For a long time, 3 3/4" was the scale Marvel Legends made made best. G.I. Joe Classified has a superior design for the base body but Hasbro won't implement the best across all brands. Minimal effort and improvements all the time!🤦🏾‍♂️

I don't think the Tobey Legends is bad, a lot of people be like "he's too skinny, he looks chubby, he's shoulders aren't big" but it's not a Spider-Man Trilogy figure, it has the proportions of how we saw him in NWH, the only real downsides of the figure are the paint which is bad on most of the copies, the Tobey head looks young instead of old and he's feet look a little on a big side

That Amazing Spider-Man figure isn't really that bad yeah the accessories aren't great but I don't care about the accessories I'm buying it for Spider-Man. Also the new figures are really nice and really good and well sculpted. There's also a difference between the old ones and the new ones the joints are better hidden and are less exposed and more noticeable compared to the older ones. I think the the new figures for Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire are really good
