Arduplane VTOL Tailsitter: Software setup, first flights, & first transitions

I know i've kind of done this before but i'm trying to normalize me uploading videos. here's software setup on an Arduplane VTOL tailsitter.
We're also working on a VTOL Skywalker x8. That's going to be a fun video.

    I was only able to install firmware to radiolink pixhawk with QGC on linux. I compiled APM Planner 6 times, it didn't work, tried MP, QGC and APM Planner on windows, -with resetting drivers for like 10 times-, these also didn't work. It took me 2 weeks to load the firmware correctly. So if you are having trouble with it, I recommend QGC on linux. Both PX4 and ArduX worked well.

    Really impressive ! Can I ask you what kind of flight mode do you use for take off and landing ? I'm ready to test mine but when I switch to QLoiter for take off with the wing vertical, the aileron are not flat but as like as the wing has to roll left. Is this normal ? Thank you very much

    To transit flight from quad mode to wing mode and back do you use switch? How it happen?

    yup, i set switch down to stabilize mode for airplane, and switch up to qstabilize, for hover.

    I don;t know how you guys can use Ardupilot. The UI sucks so bad! Trying to set up a new VTOL in MIssionPlanner is impossible. Really hoping INav comes out with something for VTOL soon.

    @@ohitstarik - nope, but if the UI were as friendly as Inav or Betaflight, many more people would use ArduPilot instead of iNav or Betaflight. The UI is horrible when compared to the others. I use all three but ArduPilot is the worst!
