- real DAC outputs, no R/C filter circuit required
- easier sound file conversion thanks to bitlunis conversion tool (link above)
- the variable speed engine sound can play at the same time as an additional sound with fixed speed (a horn or a siren for example)
- more sounds in better quality available
- special sounds included like: „Martinshorn“ fire truck horn, US Police siren, Swiss post bus horn, train horn, car horn, MAN TGA truck horn
- Engine sounds for: Land Rover Defender V8, ford Mustang, Chevy Nova, Dodge Challenger, MG B GT V8, LaFerrari, V8 Trophy Truck, Scania V8, Ural V8, Kenworth, Detroit Diesel
- Air brake sounds
- Output for vibrating motor, which simulates engine vibrations
- Many light functions like headlight, tale light, brake light, indicators, blue light, foglight, sidelights
- 4 RC servo signal inputs
- 13 light outputs
- One wire communication with my „Micro RC“ remote system: github.com/TheDIYGuy999/Micro...

    This sounds great! I've been looking for a good sound kit for my rc fire truck, but I haven't found a commercial one that will do what I want, so I was looking at making my own, and then I found yours. I apologize for asking before digging deep into your project, but would this be powerful enough to do more than 2 sounds at once if I modify it? I need engine sound with air brake puffs, siren, horn and reverse beeper to play simultaneously, but I could disable rc channel processing and light functions, as I already have an Arduino mega dealing with that. Thank you for your service for the R/C diy community!

    Thanks. Yes, I think it does everything you need and more. Multiple songs can be played simultaneously. I also added vehicle inertia simulation in the meantime: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e3-lq6ppgK-9k7A.html

    @@TheDIYGuy999 I've ordered some esp32 boards and some PAM, so I have some experimenting to do. I'll keep you updated if it works out! I've also considered using the esp32 audio development kit, but I'm more comfortable in the Arduino environment. I like the inertia simulation. I was originally hoping to use a VNH2SP30 board to make my own ESC so I could have complete control over reverse, inertia and gear simulation, but I have issues with trusting that giving motor control of my model to diy code would be safe. At the moment I prefer having ESC and steering directly controlled by the receiver while processing the other 14 channels through the Arduino.

  • @TheDIYGuy999

    @TheDIYGuy999

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, controlling the ESC is a bit of a risk, but there is a failsafe mode for PWM and serial throttle mode. If the input signal is lost, the emergency brake is triggered. The ESC is controlled by a state machine, so you always know, which state will be next. Can't wait to see your feedback!

    @@TheDIYGuy999 I've made a test setup and it's a great project! I'm swapping out some code with my own bits from my light kit, and it can currently do horn and siren at the same time, while switching between two custom made siren sounds every 5 seconds by rewriting the soundNo switch/case section. I'm thinking the soundNo framework could also be used to have an intro + looping + outro sound setup for the horn. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Great fun, thank you!
