Learn how to create a ladder stitch base in this PotomacBeads tutorial. The Arctic Waves bracelet has a wavy texture with icy cool Potomac crystals for added bling.
1. Pick up a seed bead and thread through the bead again to create a stop bead, leaving a couple inches for a tail. Add 2 more seed beads. Pick up another 3 seed beads and pass the needle back up through the first 3 beads. Bring the needle down the second set of seed beads, add another 3 seed beads. Continue on with the ladder stitch until you have the length of your bracelet.
2. Watch the Arctic Waves Bracelet tutorial to follow along with Anna as she shows you how to create the pattern used to embellish her beautiful beaded bracelet design.
3. Cut a new piece of thread and bring the needle through the center seed bead in the last row of ladder stitch. Pick up an 11/0 and pass through the clasp and pick up another 11/0. Bring the needle down through the bracelet and then reinforce the clasp. Glue the cabochon into the Potomax infinite clasp.
Have fun creating the gorgeous Arctic Waves Bracelet. It’s a dazzling accessory that you will love to show off and maybe even give as a gift to someone special.

Nice bracelet! And I want to commend you on doing sooooo much better with your voice on these videos. You are using that unpleasant gravelly register very rarely now. It seems to me to be a confidence thing, but whatever it is, kudos! I enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed the tutorial.

I love this design! Could you please let me know about how much thread do I use and does it matter what size needle on this bracelet? I haven’t beaded in 20 years and things and products have changed! Your site with videos is the best I’ve seen. Thanks!

Hi, Lynn. Old beader here. A size 10 or 11 needle will work fine with the recommended beads. As to thread, you will need to add more thread during beading as the amount needed varies with length of the bracelet, your tension and number of times you reinforce wear points. I start with about five feet max. More than that tends to increase tangling probability. Blessed beading!

We will usually start with 5 ft however if that is too much to work with you can always add more in

Hello there! It is always a good idea to start a project using a comfortable length of thread, no longer than 5 feet is our preference. Here is a helpful video on how much thread to use www.potomacbeads.com/how-much-thread-do-i-start-with
What string/thread are you using on this video?
