What do you think about the new song? p.s. Check out my R U Mine Breakdown: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gKSelNmmkrvdm6w.html
Alex Turner doesn't have any social media, no online presence of any kind for that matter, yet he is The songwriter of this generation. He comes out of hiding every few years reinvented, stylistically, musically and characteristically. Never short of inspiration. Loved your reaction of him and the ones you've done of Atif Aslam (he's from my country). Thank you for the content good sir.

Alex Turner is an amazing poet/lyricist. All of his songs are so good that even if you just read the lyrics there's really a unique depth to them. Thank you for your comment, have a nice day!

Absolutely agree but also, I believe it's important to mention the other band members, who, in general contribute a LOT to their songs, sounding, etc. I think a lot of people focus on only Alex, who is a GREAT artist, but the Monkeys would not be the same without the others;)

I understand some people don't like this new style because that is not the music they like listening to, but they've got to admit, no matter what the Monkeys do, they do it well. They're always creating something new and they never miss.
I can't stop listening to this song! On a loop since yesterday. There's something about it that I can't put into words. Truly art is ment to be felt, not understood.

Same here Amber, I keep coming back to it over and over. Feels nostalgic and moody, and that fits me right now for some reason

It's the mournful chord progression
This just makes me daydream in the chillest way possible, totally captivating
This song is an absolute masterpiece. I can’t put in to words how perfect it is, or even why it’s so perfect. It hits spots I didn’t know existed. This has quickly become my all time favourite song. Bold statement I know. Perfection.
This song made me teary too 😢
Can't wait to hear this song in the future on the AM radio and feel nostalgic. Just me listening to AM's The Car on the AM in The Car.
This is the going to be the album that draws from all aspects of any type of 70s music. This sounds like it could be the big hit off of a movie soundtrack, dare I say a 007 nod? "I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am" (from the early videos I've seen) has a very bass driven feel, and a funk sound. It's no Parliament/Funkadelic but I hear inspirations in it. I would not be surprised at all if that's the direction (all 70s incorporated) this album leans towards

Agree! I thought I was the only one that got the 007 vibes 😁

Very much reminiscent of 1970's Italian composers. Umiliani, Piccioni etc
As soon as I heard this song I thought this is very last shadow puppets… one of my favourite bands so I love it!

I love their vision.
This song 100% reminds me of Matt Monroe who I started listening to thanks to my grandmother.
The most beautiful creation yet!!❤
Bloody good song, innit?
I agree that it's so beautiful with the strings... I can sometimes latch onto their previous work and miss it a lot, but this song is gorgeuos.

Zvuci kao domace ime i prezime? Agree, I like their older more energetic stuff as well, but this one is moody and perfect, especially on a rainy day

AM - Mid 50s and Early 60s TBHC - Mid to late 60s The Car - 70s i think Alex is planning to catch upto modern music and completely reinvent it..lol
“Mardy boom” hehe. Nice reaction 👍
I admit it took few listens for me to understand this album but now I think it's absolutely beautiful, reflective but also sad?
