Update to 2017: i’m still listening to this and people around me are obsessing over ‘young dumb and broke’ it’s not a bad song but when people play it over and over again like it’s the best song ever it’s getting annoying. Seriously I can’t even find a single person who actually likes good music.

They are so underrated! One of few singers who sound exactly good as their recordings.. And also one of few musicians who doesn't make your ears bleed like Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber or other shitty "singers"

So around 370,000 (Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not) In total the first album sold around 1,500,000 albums in the UK alone:P + Please don't even put Justin Bieber in the same comment as them... hahaha (+ They have played Reading, Madison Square Garden, Glastonbury, Finsbury Park, all across America, South America and the Olympics! They have 5 number one albums, so for a Alternative Rock band in the 21st century.. they have done well for themselves!)

deez135 nuatz Kurt Cobain came up with his lyrics from humming the melody of the tune most likely.. he had one liners and worked from there! But some of Cobain's lyrics are great references to books and are very metaphorically! Though Alex Turner is brilliant, Alex Turner was my introduction to rock!
