it’s a funny thing, i never had liked this album in high school (released at the end of my junior year when i was just getting into AM) but now that i’m out of college i can safely say it is easily my favorite album by the band- and this is my favorite song from that album! i love it! just had to age gracefully into it haha

When I say i have been watching this on repeat for like half an hour im not lying. This song is just gorgeous, and watching AT walk around this mansion is so satisfying. this song is painfully underrated. That clip of Nick on the bass on the steps is so goddamn cool.

to me the new album was just a too sudden change into a completely different sound, since most of the previous albums have had similar style and sound, so i didn’t like the album at all at first but after a few listens it’s starting to grow on me

This video expresses exactly what Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino was described as. A flight at 70's with a pinch of science fiction. The extra actors seems like they are building the Hotel like the engineers build a spaceship in a instalation base. Alex walks around the facility seeing his project geting complete. The air is pure of a 70's sci-fi movie, just like sounds the entire album, which is pretty in my opinion.

Just realized that the sounds from 0:16-0:45 and from 2:57-3:13 is actually the LGM-1 , a sound that was discovered in 1967 and is coming from deep space. AWESOME .

ALEXZERO you need extremely delicate(yet accurate) microphones pointed at space to hear cosmic bodies actually produce sounds. I believe they aren’t microphones like we generally know them, they read the energy that they produce and “read” a sound out of the energy. “Little Green Men-1” was suspected to have been produced from an extraterrestrial source trying to communicate to us but we later learned that it was a rapidly rotating neuron star producing electromagnetic radiation. That “energy” emitted sounds like a pulse due to the rotation of the star. This phenomenon is properly called “pulsar”.

people who shit on this album are obviously insane. this is one of the best songs ever written, everytime i listen to it, i always end up scream singing and jumping around with my eyes closed. best am song ever.

I don't care about the grammy, this is a great work. In the commercial era that we currently live, where the art and culture that most of the artists present has lost his value, Mr. Turner & company deserve all my respect, because they care what music means, they really do. Long live rock!

When I was listening to this album for the first time, I thought "well ok that is weird". But one day I came home absolutely exhausted, sat down on my sofa and decided to listen to it again, right from the first track. By the end of the album I did not want it to ever stop. I was absolutely somewhere in outer space and I thought: "That is a masterpiece! Like a true form of art. Like a good painting. You don't come to gallery everyday to see a painting, you have to be in that particular state of mind to enter that room, sit down and enjoy the art" That is not that kind of music album that you would just put in your headphones and listen to it everyday on the regular basis, that is something you turn on, like an old vinyl, sit down and enjoy.

When the song its 3:57 i get goosebumps it sounds so good, and the little shift between the sounds of the guitars gets a little higher. AN INSANELY GREAT ALBUM. Arctic Monkeys is and probably will be my favorite band forever. Each of their albums have their own distinctive sound, I cant wait for the next one. I hope to see them in concert one day. This album is just something else, it makes you feel something else

The outro is eclectic. First you like the beginning of song then when you focus on the outro it’s a whole package.

I haven't seen anyone in these comments talk about it, the scenes with the orange walls are shot in the Marienplatz subway station in Munich. It is one of the most important stations, at peak 24000 people switch trains per hour. It was built from 1966-1971 so the style perfectly suits the song.
