That's a good point. I remember Stephen King's book The Dead Zone. In it, the hero recovers from an auto accident with psychic abilities. He touches the hand of a real estate tycoon running for president, wins the presidency, and starts WWIII. He takes action to stop his election, and the tycoon commits suicide. They made it into a TV movie. Sounds familiar, does it?

so basically what would help in an emergency situation like that, a warm fizzy drink, they have tons of sugar in it? But suppose that is Hollywood. They need a little bit of drama. Waht amazes me though always, in all these -drama- films, there is never a dog or cat around. When -normally - more or less every house or household has pets..

I remember the Ozone scare of the 70s. All Deodorant and hairspray etc. used propellants that ate away at the Ozone. It was after that that pump hairspray and stick and gel deodorants became a thing. But not a cold front, back then it was radiation, severe sunburns and the like. Then I joined the Army and never heard anything about that hole ever again. False call or the hole healed itself, no idea. Cheers on Hobart! You get your own disaster movie! You are in the big leagues now. Sydney, Seattle, NYC, LA, London, and Hobart! I am glad my family is in Berlin, it is almost never destroyed. Hmmm, it is daylight in Hobart, Philadelphia, London, and Moscow all at the same time. Netherlands & Rio daylight, but Hong Kong is dark. I think this movie proves the flat earth! And in Fairbanks the natives are mad they have to put their basketball shorts and flipflops away as it seems to be a wee chilly Tuesday in Northern Alaska.

Thanks for the movie. I'm a disaster movie addict and have seen this one a couple of times before. It's late at night, and I was about to have a bedtime snack when this movie showed up in my KZread feed. I suddenly realized that I was in the mood for a disaster movie, even if I had seen it before, so I watched it again. I'm so addicted to disaster movies, I even watch foreign language ones, although I don't speak those languages. I've watched shows from around a dozen countries now. In spite of the language barrier, I am almost always able to follow the stories, and I like the challenge of doing so. Time to use the facilities and get ready for bed.🥱😴🛌🏻

It was interesting hearing the announcer saying it was a 'sunny 72 degrees' early in the movie since Australia uses the metric system.

Just think! We could hold the winter Olympics anywhere or everywhere all at once. No need to build an Olympic city or build skating rinks. All locals can compete locally. A return to the ideal of a truly amateur competition. Put on your skates everybody and let's get outside!

I don’t mean to be critical but it is one of the silliest ideas ever. A cold front that is that cold is so contained that you can drive away from it?? It is only the frozen air that you can see that freezes you? Oh my.
