It is also more about Knowledge and Information, which is why her animation looks computer-like. She is the Avatar of Irminsul after all, and Irminsul is a giant database tree which is operating kinda like a computer...

I think the word is organic. Dendro doesn’t have the blooming of flowers or plants, instead looks more futuristic in a way, so it’s the best word I can think of!

I'll put it here since people are arguing about why dendro does not look like plants in any sort of way. The power of dendro isn't to manipulate plants, it's more like the energy for life sustaining beings. It has something to do with the irmminsul. The irmminsul is a tree and it's responsible for major things in Teyvat. When the irmminsul was damaged it started to affect people's lives; people have been driven mad or got sick until they perished. It's hard to elaborate further but if you know the lore, you would know that dendro isn't just grass and nature; it's like the essence of life in Teyvat.

I said Energy of life-sustaining beings which you can simply associate with consciousness or the mind- which is also associated with knowledge. So yeah there's my analogy for you. as a nahida main i have to sadly disagree. jueyuan looks much more dynamic and lively to use

I feel like it’s hard to judge these characters equally due to people knowing Nahida Better than a character who still has an unknown background. People will just subconsciously pick the design they’re used to looking at Edit: I forgot to add I prefer Jueyuan’s design and gameplay style more than Nahida’s for the fact that she has more gameplay that looks thrilling in combat.

I feel like they might have different personalities. Nahida is completely weak and not too strong on lore so she doesn't have any flashy attacks. I feel like the character from ww is more aggressive and kind( like candace) so her attacks looks "thorny"(idk her lore) Edit: i meant nahida is weak physically for an archon.

Nahida isn't the weakest though, she just hasn't gained enough power yet, to be honest she's not on the same level as Raiden Ei or Zhongli but she's not weak.

In nahidas case, few people believes her because of the influence of academia (they control sumeru people to only acknowledge rukkadevata bit not the new born archon) so how come nahida gain strength from her people. She's young then only few people recognised her as their present archon. Also, I don't think support character needs a lot of flashy attactks since most of the time, they are off field😏

Yes I think it’s related with the archons? Venti’s element doesn’t look like wind it looks like voids and opening portals and sigils. Zhongli’s is just pillars and weird giant meteors, Raiden’s doesn’t look like electro it looks like a galaxy and tearing the space time. And Nahida’s is technological and looks like constellations

Nahida's design and abilities are more stylized and satisfying, but (i forget her name) the root chick's abilities look more fun and i like that instead of something "holographic" its effects are solid, rendered roots/vines, and her model looks better crafted. Nahida gets style points but the other one gets gameplay points, im going with the latter, gameplay is equally important to me as style, and nahida doesnt look fun.

@@annoxx399 its mostly the use of color for me, how its laid out across what she wears paired with the somewhat intricate detail, i dont particularly like nahida but in terms of this comparison i prefer her design to the other, the black white and green is "satisfying" in that choice of color and how much of each is used. The sense of "style" in her abilities however is mostly in concept, making an apparent domain for herself with the luscious green is pretty, but thats about as much as i can say for her in my opinion, her abilities and colors are just nice to look at but nothing particularly impressive.

People nowadays don't know how to judge what's fun or not, aesthetics are not a thing to have fun with it's just to admire it. Fun is the mechanics and the charge attack on nahida looks fun tho the slide on jueyan looks fun rest of it is just clucky looking vines. Also solid rendering f*cks with the cou and GPU, so that's also not optimised

She's Jueyuan, Spectra/Light element. She's a catalyst healer but can also deal sustainal damages with your current on-field characters (like Xingqiu and Yelan for example).

Nahida is overall a better character, animations and gameplay really shows her character and all. And she also has a very good backstory, a loving god despite her people not loving her once. So its hard to not choose Nahida for me.

Well let me explains: Nahida is the Archon of Denro - the power of plants but.....Denro is not works like you thinks. The Denro power in Genshin is like you call the life source of the plants around you, connect your mind with them, share the knowledge and evolve that life source in to the physical shape of your will-power to attack your ememy. Denro is the power of plants but it's not that kind of plant-plant. Even the Elemental Reactions around Denro is based on the ideaism of the power of Knowledge.

Using the concept of mana, mana is magic everyone is able to use as a pure form in most fantasies, being able to make mana blades, mana shields, telekinesis, etc and are considered "basic spells". Turning this mana into an element however is very different. With all of the elements so far there is justification for its manifestation due to the atoms and such in the air which _can_ be used to create things such as ice, fire, lightning, water, and wind is basically everywhere. With geo, rather than turning mana into rocks, they instead use it to control rocks along with forming their mana into a form (similar to the forming of a mana shield) that is basically solidified mana (like ningguang's jade shield, geo related shields in general and gorou's flags) with the solidity of rocks, maybe using layers upon layers of mana to create a sturdy, defensive, rock like shield. This mana barrier concept also explains why other elements can theoretically create a shield but not as strong as geo's. Earth exists all around, unlike plants, so for dendro to be used anywhere it will need different properties. If it was solely plants, using burning as an example, the easiest way to stop it is just to get the burning plant off of you. I think that dendro uses this "mana" in a form which sticks itself to the opponent with plant like properties while not exactly being plants, being highly combustible and creating "mana seeds" that obviously cannot become real trees. So, think of dendro like a "plastic film" of mana wrapped around you with the properties of plants. Like geo, it should be theoretically possible to use mana to control plants, like dendro samachurls do but it would probably be highly inefficient (can only be used to temporarily get in enemies' way as it's basically as weak as an actual plant as it is an actual plant). In this way, to use plants with dendro, it could only make sense if it was used solely by supports in a "grouping" or "blocking" situation. I am very sure that dendro CAN be used like this as theoretically, according to the manga, elements can be used however by the holder of it but the skills in game represents how they manifest their element to suit them best, however, since we have elements dedicated to grouping and blocking in game (anemo and geo) there was not really a need to actually use plants. As for Alhaitham's mirrors and Tighnari's arrows I beieve that it mixes that "plastic film" concept along with the "mana blade" concept, solidifying the mana into a form that can be used to attack and coating the wounds inflicted with this "plastic film" of mana to carry out reactions. The mana blade concept of soldifying mana to use elements in a more physical form can also be seen in Yanfei's charged attacks, Nahida's charged attacks (basically slamming a block of that "plastic film" over the enemy) or Noelle's ult which is the best possible example of a "mana blade". I will exempt archons from this rule as I would assume they are the only ones who can ACTUALLY create physical forms out of nothing (assuming the plane of euthymia wouldn't necessarily have the things needed to make lightning and the islands zhongli has seemingly made not out of any existing earth) and explains why Zhongli's "geo construct" would look somewhat different from the normal ones. Why doesn't Nahida use plants then? The reasoning I already stated, inefficient for actual damage. Venti? He's never been in a situation where I can comment on him as once again, air is everywhere, even in the depths of the chasm. Perhaps I can comment more on him when we can visit or get more info on "Mare Jivari" the "windless" land unless there is and I simply don't know.. I have a high suspicion I'll be called a white knight or d rider or "pressed" for writing all this but honestly, I enjoyed thinking about all of this as it also gave me a new personal understanding of magic physics in the game so writing this out was fun. For Genshin's sake, I'll just take it as "Mana can only be used through an intermediary such as visions in the manifestation it is given (elements)."

By the way Mihoyo explain for us, actually the “Dendro” element is not represent for physically way of The Power of Plants but it's about The Power of Knowledge, Evolution and Connection. Elementals in Genshin are not works like Pokemon or Persona series but it's more like abstraction and Idealism.

If I remember correctly, Jueyan is supposed to be a 4 star (or whatever it's called in WW)

The gameplay of the WW characters, in my opinion, is the best I have seen. The gameplay of Genshin is too static for my taste since it is based on reloading Ultimates and then shooting enemies. That they don't move, the WW gameplay looks more frenetic and also each character is unique and they don't resort to recycling attacks or abilities, Genshin players may not like to hear this But I'm going to say it, Genshin's gameplay is currently too boring, a change of scenery with WW will be good for them with better gameplay.

Hmmmm as I expected I think that Nahida died millions of years ago but then reincarnated into Jueyuan but lost her archon ability and got a resonator abilities and her appearance also change during the years of trying to find a perfect body to pick for her reincarnation body of hers

Im so confused as to when this game released lol A year ago or a month ago who knows anymore

Dendro in Genshin is more like ecosystem than anything else

the only thing this video shows is, that the other character design from theo ther game shows, that the devs know, how to actually make a character, that lloks like that Nature is its power source.. so far all dendro characters in genshion absolutely have no real nature based skill design.. none of their skills looks like, as if nature is either creature or manipulated.. its all just greenish animations/lights that resemble absolutely nothing nature based... if you use a Pyro character for example, all its skill designs and animations actually do look like fire, its not just only stupid red lights and red animations all over the place without anything, that actually looks like hot flames.... the closest except for this so far is only Yaoyao, as she throws radishs at her targets/allies, which is something nature based... but Tighnari? Nothing but just greenish animations/lights, the animations dont look at all like entangling vines, except maybe for a second of the burst animation ... but Alhaitham? Nothing but just a greenish laser show.. nothing at all based really on nature ... but Nahida? again, nothing but just a green dome of light show and greenish light animations in her skill, nothign based of real nature, like piercing and crushing enemies with tree roots.. but Baizhu? hes just a greenish light show again, with at least a snake motif ... but Kirara ? again just greenish animations, the closest nature based thing is her transformation to a cat in box .... but Collei? a burst of green explosions with her ally thing popping op every second that isnt even an animal I Wish Dendro Character designs would get some more inspiration in the future from things like Naruto's Mokuton Jutsus (Plant/Nature Based Techniques) Like a character sommuning poisonous thorn bushes like the dendro samachrrls, just differently looking and slightly differently workign when used for example.. or a character, that makes usage of insects and animals somehow as part of their gameplay, or uses even an animal as pet as part of their gameplay kit... or summons creatures as temporal allies that fight for them/with them. That woudl be somethign unique to see in genshin

Considering that the dendro is connected with a biological computer created by aliens from outer space, the aesthetics of the computer and artificial life in the dendro element looks very logical. And the dendro, in fact, has never been called plants, it is rather a light, given that it has a beneficial effect on the plant and can accelerate their growth, but not control. Shamachurl use the dendro in a different way, most likely due to the fact that they themselves use the element, without the help of a gift made to them by aliens.

I've played pokemon and I love using Grass-type pokemons lol. I was expecting that dendro would also take inspiration from this and would implement leaves, roots, vines, flowers, and seeds to be used as weapons by future dendro chars, but obv it never happened. I was even so disappointed with Nahida's arrival like I never understood at first why she's just casting green lights and not actual plants despite being the dendro archon. Some players defended that dendro is actually all about dreams and wisdom and that explains Nahida's attack animation, but still, the way the developers design her skills are just weird and random cuz it leans more towards technology. I soon realized that almost all characters' skills and animation are weird and random too like how does collei use a doll to deal dendro dmg using her burst? it's so unrelated. The same goes with Amber's baron bunny they weren't even featured in the overworld or in quests that those characters had appeared. Compare it with Xiangling's Guoba. It was so random at first, but when mihoyo made an event dedicated to the lore behind Guoba, it finally made sense why Xiangling had it as her companion. The same issue goes with Nahida, did we ever saw her in any of her quests using a computer? Does a mouse cursor or a keyboard exist in genshin? No, right? She seems to be focusing solely in dreams and wisdom. It would even be understandable if instead of Nahida's current gameplay, she can make enemies fall asleep using a sleep spore as her skill and enter their dreams manifested by a domain just like the current one as her burst. Even though that would still be unrelated to plants, at least we can really see that Nahida is consistent with her abilities about dreams. With this issue, I wouldn't even be surprised if Kokomi was intended to be a pyro character releasing frosty fishes that deals geo damage. Kokomi being a divine priestess and a military general at the same time is also another thing that doesn't make sense. It would be ok tho if mihoyo had made it as a plot twist to have a comedic purpose. You can rlly see a lot of inconsistencies and randomness in almost every aspect of Genshin which are usually covered and compensated by long-winded descriptions and dialogues that somehow seems to still make it interesting. It kinda feels like the developers are more focused on designing a character based on how it would interact with the rest of the roster which limits its consistency with the character's lore. Genshin has the best video game music I've ever heard though.

why would increasing her height make her more cute? they made a really cute character and thats what they were going for there is a lot of characters in genshin its not like you have to pull this one.
