Archive - Funfair Pull On Wickham 2000
From the video archives I've dug out this footage of the Wall family pulling on the rides to Wickham in Hampshire, way back May 2000. I was up at 5am to capture them pulling in to the Square.
It features the build up of fold out dodgems, waltzer, miami, orbiter and meteorite.
Wickham Fair and Horse fair is one of the oldest Royal Charter fairs in the UK.

Great footage, never heard of them showmen before as I'm from Hull and I don't get down southwards to any fairs for pull ons, hull fair is on now by the way

Hull is a great fair, made it up there a few times, sadly not this year.

TheDarkSide69 best waltzer ever built. Shame it was sold, still miss it. Helped out on it a few times at Wickham.

Theme Park World Tour from memory it was a Sony Hi8 handy cam. Honestly can't remember. I have it on a Sony SX tape, I definitely didn't shoot it on one of those so must have done a transfer at some point. It's interesting looking at my shooting style all those years ago.

Ha! Only a short hop to the shoot! Great to see anyway, you got some slightly better kit these days but think it looks pretty good.
