🪴 Architecture Painting Tutorial|Bookshop Portrait with Watercolors
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Today I'm so excited to share this Architecture/Building Portait Painting Tutorial of an Old Bookshop with you! We're using a line-and-wash technique in this video, which means that we're outlining the image with black ink pen and then doing the coloring over it with watercolors. :) This is a painting that will challenge you to pay attention to small details and help you learn to control your watercolors! The colors are very neutral and muted, giving the final picture very vintage aesthetic.
If you decide to paint this or an easier version of it, let me know how it went for you! ^^ I really hope you'll get to sit down and have a relaxing painting session for yourself ❤

Incredible work! I love watching the layering. Your color quality is so beautiful, I find that when I layer watercolor is always looks muddy but yours is luminescent! i'm jealous 🙂

Thank you so much! 🥰 I honestly think it has a lot to do with the watercolor quality! I used to use a different set of watercolors that didn't stay nearly as vibrant and pigmented as these ones, so I know your struggle! 😅 Avoiding mixing different colors, using clean brushes and water and avoiding too many layers helps too, but the paper and watercolor quality definitely play a huge role as well
Stunning ! As usual 😍

Haha I'm so glad to hear you like it! 😄❤️
Can you use gouache paint for this if it’s very diluted?

I think you absolutely could! 😊 I think the biggest difference between gouache and watercolors is when creating large washes (for a background for example). Watercolors tend to melt together better but in a painting like this, where there're just tons of small details, that quality doesn't really get to shine 😄
Hi Anna, I really love your paintings and journals.... this one is such a masterpiece like I don't know how you come up with those creative and amazing ideas and your way of giving a tutorial is absolutely perfect😊....I really enjoy watching your videos

This looks magnificent 🤍🩶🩵. I completely adore this painting and will certainly have a go at it, even if it will take me days or weeks to get this kind of result. I already see it framed in my livingroom. Thanks sooooo very much 🤍🩶🩵.
