Instrumentally? Yes. Vocally? This is trash compared to architects between 2016-2019.

@@nathandrums0for the record, they’ve been on the scene since like 2005. Funny you chose a three year span (2016-2019) to scrutinize Sam’s vocals. Yes, he started incorporated more clean vox beginning with Holy Hell…but still. He’s been pretty damn consistent since the beginning. But I’m 36 and have been following them since I was high school. Maybe you’re like 20 something and have only been following them since 2016.

@@AdamLock3 I’m 24. Started following them in 2013 after hearing colors don’t run so that would make me 13 back then…damn lol. I feel old 😂 wild how time passes. I think Sam hit his peak vocal ability between 2016-2019. 2020 it tapered off and started transitioning into what he is now. 2021-2023 was pretty rough for him from a live standpoint. This is better but not by much and as a long time fan, it’s been hard to watch.

@@nathandrums0 I guess I just see it as evolution. Not everyone can stay vocally impeccable their entire career…in fact, most vocalists can. So many singers in other genres that used to be awesome and now require vocal back tracks and tune to put on a decent live show. Sam and the boys are getting older just like the rest of us. Still touring at a crazy rate. It’s a lot on a voice. I think he’s doing a-ok for what it’s worth.

@@AdamLock3 I’m not in disagreement with you on the aging of vocal cords. I think the issue becomes though that if you reach a point where you can’t do it, you gotta switch up your music. It’s what Danny worsnop did and it’s worked out alright for the band. I still enjoy architects. I just hate to see that they are getting older. I always knew during the holy hell era that it was going to damage him and to see that I was right actually hurts lol.

Just received my signature signed guitar 🎸, perks of the business. A singed guitar case a zoom call from the sam himself a merch bag, tickets to all future USA tour shows and have invited them to play à block party in my neighborhood but cops will not sign off on it.🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@AdamLock3 full pitch correction during the choruses/verses of songs. Additional backing tracks for screams when he lifts the mic away. Defaulting to lows instead of highs for multiple lines throughout the songs. Every screaming ending in a weird high pitched clean yell. Yeah, compared to 2017-2019 Sam, this is trash lol.

@@nathandrums0 I’m a musician. 👩‍🎤 can hear the pitch correction. I personally appreciate it and would rather hear pitch correction than trash singing live (that goes for EVERY live singer in every genre). And I’m a big fan of backing tracks and layered vocals. I like full production, though.
