i really doubt this. you can hear that they turn down the volume of his screams. the clear parts are even louder than the rest. so its an issue of the mix. i don't see any explanation how his clear parts can be louder than his screams if its not by the sound mixing itself,... just physicaly not possible.

To be fair, it's really hard mixing a vocalist who is constantly switching between cupping and not cupping the mic. When he's not cupping the mic, the vocals seem to cut through much better. I know some consider this to be a technique, but then you'll still have to face the consequences, i.e. not being able to have a good mix.

Idiot,they made sound check before the perfomance.The problem was due to their in-ear monitors,exactly, they set the voice sound too loud,so for us the voice part was too quiet

In my opinion, for a shitty mix they still sound pretty good. This is proof architects are amazing

It's actually a pretty common "trick" (not that they were right to employ it) - if you want to make a band sound big and loud - you mix the vocals quiet ;)

He has a very unique scream tone similar to chester where its layered. So fucking awesome to hear something not generic.

Sam has such a unique voice.. all these guys are just amazing!!! Love these guys so much!

What the hell is that mix? C'mon BBC. Should be much better...and maybe at least a sign of mastering for web consumption? Get an engineer who can mix good music and isn't just used to backing tracks and shite pop stars...

Man how does he do that? I came over to see if he sang with as much heart as he does in the video and he definitely does. Hits clear high notes while screaming. One tone screaming is typical but he inserts his singing in with it so well. 👏 👏

He is not hitting the high notes and is also out of tune on other times. I give you that it is a very hard song to sing but lets not normalize that live sounds like the recording.

Adam is one of those guitarists.. who can basically do anything. The intro riff for a match made in heaven is a very simple looking piece. That he plays to perfection live. The only thing is, when Tom played it, there was this.. feeling of greatness, that truely is a rare gift

Over 1 year later and about 8 hours from seeing architects live and yes those days without a gig almost killed me

I wish Architects comes to Montreal.. from what I can see/hear, they are probably one of the best live band that reflect the studio version. holy shit they are insane!
