When i see Chamblee i think of LIV controversy and when i looked at the bottom right corner of the screen i saw LIV golf and i had to do a double take and realised it was LIVE golf 😂😊😊

Greenside bunkers do not pose a big problem for the top pro's these days. They will put the ball within five feet of the hole most times.

Excellent interview! But his last line completely took the winds out of the sail. "If it's fast and firm, the winning score will be -6 to -9". I guess that means that the winning score will likely be -15 to -20, if we don't get those "fast and firm conditions". That'd be a real shame! Hopefully he's wrong, and it plays as difficult as a U.S. Open should be played. Otherwise, the USGA of the last decade and a half, really seems to struggle with identity issues, and for some odd reason refuses to actually choose and set the golf courses up to their maximum difficulty. This from a Tiger Woods interview in 2019: "But pressed on the topic, Woods did share his perspective on where the USGA has erred in recent years. “I don’t agree with some of the times when they move the tees up and change the golf course,” Woods said. I thought it was just narrow fairways, hit it in the fairway or hack out, move on. Now there’s chipping areas around the greens. There’s less rough,” Woods said. “They try to make the Open different, and strategically different. I just like it when there’s high rough and narrow fairways and it’s, ‘Go get it, boys.’”

This feels like an easy course relative to some others out there. I think the winning score will be around -20

I just watched a video and I thought it would be at least -9 that’s funny. Now I watch this and it confirms it

But it's definitely going to be firm and fast. If you watch the interview this week with the USGA leaders, they specifically said that when Nick Price was on the Board in 2018 he told them 'what are you doing?.... it matters to the players on which course they win the US Open on'. They've made it a point from there to focus more on the prestige of the venue than trying to trick courses up so the winning score is Par. Like Shinnecock, which they tragically failed TWICE in setting it up. Let the score be the score, within reason, and if Phil or Rory birdies 18 on Sunday to get to 15 under and win by one, no one is going to be all that disappointed in the 2023 US Open. But it won't get to that, because this course is definitely going to be a tough test this week. Lot of birdies but tons of doubles and others. The longest final 3 holes in Open history. All par 4's. Gil Hanse knows what he's doing, and it seems like the new leadership of the USGA does too. We shall see in a few hours!

Has this guy ever renovated a course women play on? Someone needs to get him to Korea and make some suggestions or renovated some KLPGA tour courses.

From an architectural point of view, the opening view of the clubhouse with the featureless modern buildings in the background isn't the best!

Maybe he needs to address the un-even tees in Frisco? I mean bad un-even.
