hurrah for my first edit ever !!
the original plan for this was a study on archie's complicated dynamic with his own physicality (not [exclusively] in a sexual way lol), but it kind of veered off into a bigger study on his... self image? perception? show-wide struggle? as it often pertains to his physicality anyway, there are still definitely factors revolving around that (he's a more physically expressive person, i think; all his outlets/hobbies revolve around using his body in some way). it kinda starts out rough with more scenes from s1 where archie's physicality seems to be in a more confused space, but then i feel like throughout the seasons, archie's just come to see his body as one big futile attempt. at anything. how he orients himself centers more on how useful he feels he is to others, so his 'failures' seem to stick with him. idk. this is kind of a reflection of archie?¿ as he seems to place a lot of his identity around his physical capabilities and in turn doubts his capabilities in all other areas. but he still doubts his physical usefulness anyways cause. he's archie. idk he just tries so hard. at everything. to succeed at doing right by the people he cares about, and always feels like he falls short of that by selectively acknowledging where he's succeeded. i guess this is just a video about that.
p.s. this took me like 12hrs to make and i literally thought it was only 2mins long for some reason until i rendered it lol
