I remember ditching school on a Thursday and was wandering around El Dorado Park and stumbled across the practice session and got to watch. Interesting how womens gold and silver was Korea and China. 40 yrs later, same results. Great Video and glad its available for everyone to watch! Also 40 yrs later I have joined an archery club!

The Korean team, the king of archery, has finally arrived. That's right. In fact, without Korea, archery records cannot be considered true champions. Starting from this time, which country will be able to beat Korea and win the gold medal in archery at the Olympics until 2024? This became a big interest ^^

Darrel Pace's form was impeccable. I met him in Rio at the America's Championship in 1986. Very nice guy.

El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA! it's still there & we still go there with the Family to do Archery! "679"

@foxbow15 Impressive work. As years go by and technology change, Carbon and Graphite seem to be the material of choice. Watching some of the modern shooters 10's get drilled like it was a joke.

What type of their limbs..fiberglass wood, foam? carbon wood core? Carbon foam?
