If you are wondering why Kuzuki lost easily against archer even tough he killed Rider and beat Saber its because: 1. He lost the enhancement magic from caster (you can see a purple light disappearing from his fists when walking towards archer) 2. He didn't have the element of surprise. Both Rider and Saber were caught by surprise when fighting him as they didn't expect a human to be that good + his fighting style is very confusing for his enemies. However once his opponents get used to it they can counter it. That is also the reason why Kuzuki and Caster retreated after they fought Saber, Rin and Shirou. Kuzuki wouldn't be able to pull another victory against Saber. Even if Kuzuki is a very strong fighter he is still a human and can't hope to defeat a servant without catching them off guard.

Yep. Kuzuki's style is honestly pretty consistent with his nature as an assassin. He's really damned effective at catching a target off guard and immediately eliminating them, but in a head-on fight against someone who knows what's coming his chances drop considerably. Against a normal human, losing the element of surprise probably wouldn't really be much of an issue due to his sheer skill, and certainly not with Medea giving him a boost. With Medea's enhancements, he could probably even hold his own against a typical magus even without catching them off guard. But as soon as you start putting him against Servants or even mages who are particularly skilled at combat, he NEEDS that shock value to throw them off guard, even with Medea reinforcing him. If Saber or Rider had taken him seriously as an opponent instead of assuming that he was just an average master (and thus presumably at least an average magus) they would have utterly obliterated him. It's pretty much the same situation that Medea had here with Rin. If she actually took her seriously as an opponent and went at her with the full extent of her power, Rin never would have had the opportunity to catch her off guard and turn it into a physical fight in the first place. It's actually a flaw that we see in a LOT of Servants throughout the franchise. Unless they actually see someone prove themselves in combat, they (understandably) don't tend to take modern humans too seriously as opponents.

If you noticed in the episode where Shirou, Rin, and Saber were having that fun outing together the at a certain point they were talking about how shirou is worried he won't get taller, gain more muscles because he wants to be a hero etc... then Rin responds by saying he will get there. I just really like the hints they give you when you don't even know they are hints at something.

Caster is that strong because she is one of the top 5 strongest Magicians in Fate period. That "Age of Gods" buff is no joke. Also Sojirou could only fight servants due to Caster's buff and his specific martial art that only works on first encounters, Archer already knew how he fought from Rin so him losing was simple. Also why Saber was originally caught off guard but if they fought again she would win easily.

He's not a reincarnation. Archer is Shirou from the future. Felt like that bit of info was immediately forgotten.

Why Caster dress up Saber like that? You guys need to watch Carnival Phantasm for the answer 😆

5:35, I may not have this completely right, but there is a deeper meaning to what Archer is saying to Lancer. Lancer's name, Cu Chulainn, is a title he got as a kid which means Cu's Guard Dog. When he was young he accidentally killed his uncle's dog and as punishment acted as the watchman/groundskeeper for his uncle's estate until he got a new dog. For Archer to tell Lancer that he can feed his pride to the dogs, he's basically telling him that he can stuff it with all his talk of pride.

Or just simply: Saber: "You can only qualify as a Saber if your sword shoots beams" Archer: punches their ammunitions and throws even the most bizzare thing and still qualify as an Archer rather than actual archery. Rider: horni Assassin: Hassans. Hassans. Hassans. Hassans. Hassans. Hassans. Kama. Berserker: too OP. Can instantly solo other classes in certain cases. Caster: Suffers from caster balls. Well now you know who archer is and it makes shirou incredibly more interesting i feel up to this point there was something that was missing with shirou as a character but once this reveal hit everything clicked what a reveal. We also get to see shirou’s incredible battle instinct and intelligence during the kuzuki fight which is incredibly similar to archer’s monologue during the lancer fight another hint to him being archer, also that explains the fact why there were two rin pendants archer emiah returned his pendant that saved his life finally after all those years

I would say Shirou is interesting enough even without Archer,but since Unlimited blade works is about him and Archer i guess that makes sense...........another part of Shirou character that is not flashed out clearly in anime adaptation's (except Heaven's feel but since it does not have a buildup like with his connection with Archer it's not that satisfiing) is his hipocricy......yes he's the ultimate pushover when it comes to saving other's but that's only if he not sees people that is important to him getting hurt.At that point he start's giving zero fuck about killing those who did it or if innocent people will die in the process.In the fate route he was alone against Shinji and Rider and when he found out that Taiga is getting eaten by the Bloodfort Andromeda he almost choke him to death and since we can see his thoughts the only reason why he asked him to off his command spell's first is simply becuase it will be less of a pain since it would not remove the barrier immediatly and she would still have the strenght to fight due to her absorbing people's life force.Here in unlimited blade works when Caster had Taiga as a hostage he was thinking about killing Rin if her action's would cause Taiga more harm.

Shirou is interesting enough even without archer as shown by fate route. The problem here is primarily the fact that the season director was a amateur and had no idea what he was doing which is why we learn nothing of value about shirou throughout the whole anime lol.

Fun fact, with Shirou as her Master, Saber's parameters/stats are fairly average, with a B rank in strength, mana and luck and C in endurance, agility, and NP. With Rin as her Master, Saber's stats skyrocket to B in endurance and agility, and A in everything else. Rin is just that good of a mage.

To be precise Archer is one of the possible futures for Shirou. Not all Shirous will become Archer.

The reason Gil said “faker” to archer it’s because his gate of Babylon and archers reality marble are pretty much the same and the perfect counter to him

Its not actually because its a counter,its because archer copies the other swords and noble phantasms and gil has the original ones, that's why he feels EMIYA is a faker
