I so wanted this but I missed out on it. The Class of 81 duel cab attacked me to it. It sold out when I had the money so I substituted it with the 40th Anniversary Ms. Pacman Countercade. Thank you for uploading!

Got the newest Pac-Man 4th gen countercade, comes with 5 games one of them is galaga!! The screens have improved dramatically, also you can adjust speed settings etc! Joystick quality is great finally!

Is there already a 4th gen Countercade?! Can't find it anywhere... 3th Gen Super Pacman seems to be the newest gen. It has a very nice light up marquee, much better than this one here, very bright and evenly. It comes with 4 games (Pacman, Super Pacman, X-Rally & DigDug). The screen is the same as 2th Gen. So viewing angles are a still a problem. But you are right in front of a bartop while playing.... so not a big deal...

I got one of the $50 Galaga countercades from 'wave 2'. The joystick at that time was worst I've seen, so its good to hear its improved. Screen is comparable to what you described. I ordered the Berry Berry Sneaky LCD board and initially tried to get it working with a RPi Zero. To power it, I adapted the original power using barrel-to-microUSB adapters (often used with security cams). The low power Pi Zero ran fine, but gameplay would stutter. I now have a Pi Zero W 2 (comparable power to a Pi3) and its running, but power requirements are higher and might be causing some sporadic issues. Its still fun to play. Great video as always! P.S. - I saw the new trackball at my local Micro Center! :)

Glen, I'm glad you got one of these for free. I feel very stupid for paying actual money for these things, because of the HORRIBLE screens. I wanted to add a few of these to my home arcade to add some variety, but like you found out, unless you're playing these dead on, they look horrible. I removed them from my arcade, because they were an eyesore next to the other machines. I WISH I would've just kept the static gameplay sticker that came with them affixed to the unit and never turned them on. At least they would've been decent decorations. Please note, I only have the vertical screen countercades, but I've heard the ones that use a horizontal screen seem to be fine. My Pac-Man 40th anniversary countercade has the same button controls as your unit, and yes, I agree with you, the joystick is quite good, however, the Player 1 and 2 buttons are too close to the joystick, so I keep hitting them during gameplay. And though it doesn't disrupt the actual gameplay, I hate constantly hearing the Galaga "coin in" sound each time the side of my hand hits the buttons. I wish they would've moved them closer to the edge of the unit like they did on the Ms. Pac-Man one, never mind the artwork. As always, thanks for the videos! vgv

The Super Pacman has a very good quality Lightup marquee, very bright and evenly (much better than this one here...). And they moved the stick a bit away from the center to the right. So the gap between the stick and the one and two player buttons is now bigger. The screen stays the same.

That’s a pretty decent game lineup. Though I would preferred super PAC-MAN or Ms Pac-Man as opposed to Pac-Man plus

Good vid Glen. I like the Pac-Man countercades by them. One of their better products. Hey just a question , should I keep that warranty card? Not sure if that was clear or not?

Yeah, most surprised on the build quality and joystick on this one. The screen playing where you should play. It is adequate so it's fine but yes absolutely. I think I might have missed that in my review. Definitely keep the warranty card

This is still the one countercade with a lit marquee that I missed out on. Never saw it for sale anywhere.

Super Pacman Edition has a very nice evenly and bright light up marquee. Much better quality than this one here. It's the 3th generation Pacman Countercade.

@@custominorEZ Ok you have all of them. Last week i got Super Pacman on sale for around 100 Bucks here in Europe.

Based on your gameplay, it seemed the joystick was pretty responsive. I just wish the screen quality was better. That is the main issue on these. I have three of the countercades and like that form factor.

Do the settings menus allow rapid fire Galaga and speedy Pacman?

Does it have game setting? I heard that the Pacman has the fast setting and Galaga has rapid fire.

Are there risers available for the Arcade 1Up countercade games to enable the game to be played standing up?

Oh I thought you said Pac-Man plus, pacmania sucks big time
