It's the Law of Inverse Ninja Strength. The more ninjas there are, the less powerful they are to the point of being pure fodder; meanwhile a single ninja is unstoppable-even if that ninja is Chris Farley.

I never noticed that in level two, one of the cars delivering ninjas to their doom is a porsche 911. Possibly the only time in the history of anything that ninjas and porsches have collaborated. Gotta love the 80s.

Ah, I remember this game. When I was a kid, there was a videogame shop in the mall my mother used to do her weekly grocery shopping. I used to hang out in that shop, and right near the door, they had two arcade machines, the one was Street Fighter II Champion Edition - the first versus fighter I ever played - and on the other side was this game. I mostly went there to play Street Fighter, but when the older, skilled kids who had the money and ability to play for hours were hogging the machine, I'd play this game instead.

Bad Dudes also drew inspiration and reference to an 80's movie call American Ninja with Michael Dudikoff.

If a Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja was an actual movie adaptation during the late 80's, JCVD and Michael Dudikoff would make perfect partners in the movie.

  • @KenMasters.

@@Albert8044 Well... Actor homages as Blade & Striker would be a little too close to home for their roles, and plus Van Damme isn't American enough which would later ruin Guile in Street Fighter - The Ultimate Battle, unless you want to watch Double Impact to see an unofficial Bad Dudes film starring Van Damme. The actors I was thinking more for Blade & Striker were Patrick Swayze and Don Swayze.

If you remember the movie American Ninja 4 with Michael Dudikoff and David Bradley, I see them as an influence to Blade and Striker from Bad Dudes if a video game movie adaptation was possible.

Great game, questionable ending. President Ronnie, the Dudes sacrificed their bodies to save you, yet your reward for them is to go out for a burger? *Cris Carter voice* C'mon man! *Cris Carter voice*. The Dudes deserve a Presidential Medal of Freedom, a Congressional resolution honoring them, and/or even a book or movie deal chronicling their quest to rescue you! That would be a much better ending.

Considering the Dudes were recruited by questioning their “badness” - which they feel the need to reaffirm at the end of every level - I’m pretty sure they were being strung along from the beginning.
