Being a Laramie is no different than a tradesman for the air vents. The Battery is not the start battery they are run in parallel to turn the motor over with more CCA

Thanks for highlighting that under-seat mount kit…I hadn’t heard of it before, and I’d eventually like to get a permanent onboard air solution for my 2500 (I have a Viair setup as well).

Awesome job. I've been looking at that set up for awhile now, but just haven't had the extra cash to do so.

Hey, now that you've had it for a while. Have you seen any concerns with heat under the seat while it's on? Would you install it there again? Really cool rig BTW!

I like the mounting position, I always have had a concern with heat, but have had no issues. If I were to have done it any different I would have mounted it in my def tank location under the truck. Not so much on the heat concern, but due to noise while in use.

Nice clean install! I’ve got a Viair compressor I’d like to install using this mount. I am worried about heat but will rig up a 12v computer fan to help keep it cool.

I have a portable Viair as well and those do get really hot after long use, but then again they all get a little warm. I think the fan will definitely help, but if I can make a suggestion. If you have a Ram 4 door equipped with the floor cubbies in the back floor board, this could be another option that you could vent and you would never see it. You could even run your quick disconnect under the truck. This would also dampen the sound.

@@SouthBoundExpeditions. Funny you mention that, I was just thinking about that today and maybe replacing the lid with something like expanded metal so the compressor can get fresh air. Or, maybe putting it in the bottom of one of the Ram boxes

Great job. Like the new intro. You might think about hash-tagging so “hot shot drivers” get a KZread hit. Many of them manually air up and down their suspensions.

Liked the video, however you bypassed the one part I wanted to see, the process of getting it under the seat and how the bracket mounts. On a side note, any pros of cons of the aev snorkel? I'm in Wekiva Springs Florida so basically more concerned with long sandy and dusty roads than I am deep water.

As far as the bracket, you can either take your whole seat out or what I did was removed both rear seat bolt lifting the rear slightly to slide it underneath. As far as the snorkel, if you are putting it on a V8 it is fully amphibious, on the diesel it is not. However you can make it amphibious as I did. For dirt roads which is my main purpose as well, it works flawlessly eliminating sucking in the dust kicked up by the engine fan. It also acts like a cold air intake giving you a little more power and depending on how you drive a few more towards your mpg.

Does the factory “beauty cover” fit over the the installed compressor and bracket?

Yes, fits perfectly with the ARB quick disconnect. I cannot say if you were to use another disconnect.

I have the drive reach booster and it gets warm. I thought about putting in the storage compartment behind seat of my megacab but was worried about burning it up. You don't have issues overheating under the seat like that? I'm hoping to get my arb installed under seat over Christmas break and then find a shop to install front locker. By the way i have the same interior color on mine with bench seat to accomadate my manual tranny.

No issues, I would recommend that you mount it in a location that it will receive good airflow when in use.

Currently It is on a shelf in my garage, I carry a high lift jack and don’t see much of a need to carry the bottle jack. I do however have a undercover swing out toolbox in the bed if I want to carry it.

    That sounds like steel.

It is obviously steel. Aluminum parts don't get bent in a press brake like that. And when you set it down and it went "clang", I knew for sure 😅

Can you add links to the parts you purchased? Particularly the short 6" hose you found. Thanks
