My great friend, whilst in Moscow, in the Tchaikovsky Int'l Piano Competition, was invited by Aram Khachaturian, to come to his private home and with his wife, Karin, entertained the 5 year Pianist for my mentor, Jascha Heifetz, with High English Tea and stories of both their lives as Composers ... He stayed over 4.5 hours, delighted beyond, telling me about this rare occasion one night via Telephone and later told of their 'Reunion' in London, when Great Aram Khachaturian was being given an Award at The Dorchester Hotel, seeing his US Friend, and insisting his Friend play something on the Piano, Impromptu, creating an Ovation for Mr. Heifetz's Pianist and embracing my friend before a thousand plus Londoner's!!! How lovely is that?? Wonderful of a Grand Person in Aram Khachaturian the Man!!! elisabeth matesky, lifetime lover of the Khachaturian Violin Concerto; invited by Heifetz to perform it in my Jascha Heifetz Violin Master Class film-Khachaturian, JH-7, Elisabeth Matesky {Rus version. Library of Master Performers} When hearing my friend's Stories re Khachaturian, I wept for Joy he had made such a Friend!!! Posting 24. 7. 2 0 2 3 ~

Returning again, upon immediately hearing the opening strains of Aram Khachaturian's Ballet Spartacus Suite No. 1, I am consumed with Love and the Profound Depths of Love which this Glorious Twentieth Century Composer gave to all of us in The World. If Only those who detest Life could Hear this Glorious Celebration of Life Music, it might change Hearts ... Thanking the Creator for Aram Khachaturian's Immense Composition with Heart Humanity Gifts, Elisabeth Matesky, US Violinist, who learnt his Violin Concerto to be given an LA Debut and heard That Night by Jascha Heifetz!!! The rest as is said, is my little bit of History!!!! This Composition is Pure Genius in every conceivable way ... Daughter of Pianist to Arnold Schoenberg at UCLA performing, Impromptu, all of Schoenberg Atonal Orchestral/Ch Orchestral Compositions on the Piano flawlessly ... Momma taught us much at home about composition revering all the 3 B's/Schumann, and gifted me her piano collaborative accompanying at the Piano from a young age ... I Love you Forever, Momma ~ Lizzie XO

Hearing this Masterpiece of Aram Khachaturian once again in the very first hour of December 28, 2018, my heart and very sad soul is suddenly lifted up with the strains of melody and harmony in this "it has everything" Spartacus Ballet score ~ One must pay due homage to Neeme Jarvi for his truly in sync feeling's with that of the Composer, nearly 'next door' to Jarvi's Finland! The Love Theme appears out of the Heaven's just in time to capture one's sorrowful heart, having learned of yet another passing of a fine lady who lived her life to the full & passed Thursday, December 27, 2018, knowing someone 'couldn't wait to get my money ...' This hurt my core so deeply hearing this last Truth as there are few in this Life who Love for Love of the person rather than more than less who 'love' to Get. In Proverbs it states, "the More you take the less you are ..." Let this Sage bit of wisdom accompany Aram Khachaturian's Score here in his Ballet Suite #1 ~ Life is full of various "passages" or Chapter's, which all of us pray & hope will be joyful and bountiful with friends and loving family, yet, as one lives more on this Earth witnessing greed, it's perhaps best to unclutter 'things' yet gather love and wisdom of God with insatiable appetites ... I sense Aram Khachaturian knew all and more of what I am attempting to write here ~ He was one of the Great Composer's of not only the Twentieth Century, but of All Time!!! Listen to that all embracing power with utter Love and you know the Man, Aram Khachaturian's heart ... Secrets of the Composer abide within this magical musical 'diary' if one takes the time to listen and 'feel' the deep underneath ... Do this at least several times a year to renew your better self acquaintance ~ In Memoriam of Alma Elisabeth Matesky

Upon listening to this Masterpiece of Aram Khachaturian, over and over again, it's impossible to avoid falling in love with this music given life by its Creator - God's Aram Khachaturian ... Composed well after his Violin Concerto, this Great Ballet of Spartacus reveals the huge heart and soul of a Genius still humbled by his simple beginnings in this earthly life and ever loyal to the Armenian folklore of his youth, matured as a vintage 1934 Rothschild wine by 1967 ~Khachaturian's 'power' comes forth with Sir Francis Drake gallantry as no other in his Bacchanal!!!!! It's irresistible and so is Aram Khachaturian's personae ... Weeping hopefully whilst looking 'Up' ~ Ever grateful, 'elishtabet' matesky

After listening to the adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia, try listening to your other classic favorites, and they take on a different experience, while still very good, emphasizes the almost divine composition by Khachaturian...

Ramon Ng ~ from Heifetz Artist Pupil, Elisabeth Matesky, in his Jascha Heifetz Original Violin Master Class, and on Film here on KZread titled in Russian, but my film with Mr. Heifetz is in English, filmed in Los Angeles at the USC Campus small Recital Hall of Hancock, set up there to capture Quote, Mr. Heifetz, 'normal class' & in my film I perform the 1st Mvt of Aram Khachaturian's Violin Masterpiece Concerto, which I so love and since 'swallowed' almost all other Khachaturian Scores with this Epic and unspeakbly gorgeous Spartacus Ballet Score ... Genius Khachaturian reaches Up to Heaven's Wings in this searching for God and Angels work in its afterthought opening Theme with strings cascading downward and coming to common sense Woodwinds almost speaking directions of Life and developed by Composer with greatest Imagination, Aram Khachaturian, who once quite long ago, introduced my friend/JH Violin Master Class Pianist of 5 years, Gerry R., to his wife, Karin, saying to his new American Pianist friend and in his Moscow home, '"I think my wife, Karin, is a far more gifted Composer than myself!" This was not known to me until one night on a long distance middle of the night phone conversation when Gerry told me of his remarkable visit with Aram and Karin Khachaturian, going for tea yet staying about 4 Hours for a cherished once in a Lifetime experience and becoming fast friends, later meeting in London, with Maestro Khachaturian, being honoured at a fabled London Hotel, spotting Gerry afar, and at a microphone, calling Gerry's name who shocked, came to the dias to shake his Composer friend, Aram Khachaturian's hand, once again in London, and who was actually invited to perform a short work by Khachaturian! Your Reply above truly touched my own sentiments and I began writing this Epistle! I agree with your assessment on hearing this Spartacus, that most other works fall far short of this wistful brilliant brilliantly composed from Heart Master, Aram Khachaturian! My warm greetings from the US on now 23rd April, 2 0 2 3 ~ The first time I found this Ballet, I listened to it at least 50 times, I fell so In Love with all it had to say! Elisabeth Matesky/'Khachaturian Lady', term of late Arthur Fiedler, who always engaged me to perform the Khachaturian Violin Concerto On his Tours!! Heifetz Film/ Elisabeth Matesky Link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJ2stqWyitq2ebI.html Formal Title: Jascha Heifetz Violin Master Class - Khachaturian, JH-7, Elisabeth Matesky {Rus version. I've Loved the Music of the Great Aram Khachaturian all my life, recording his Violin Concerto, 1st movement, in my film with my legendary teacher, the Great Jascha Heifetz, in our Jascha Heifetz Violin Master Class, USC, films nowon KZread! Mr. Heifetz invited me to perform the first movement of the Khachaturian Violin Concerto for our 28:44 minute filmed performance-lesson film with Brooks Smith, Heifetz's pianist, for our 3 days a week Violin Master Classes of 6 hours each day, with Chamber Music on Friday afternoon's being coached by Heifetz, Piatigorsky and Violist, William Primrose! I have grandparents who were born in Russia, and feel the poignant melodies & harmoniesof this King of 'The Five' Composer's ~ Before leaving this Earth, I must perform the Violin Concerto again as my late father taught the Khachaturian to me which propelled me straight into Jascha Heifetz's First & Original Violin MasterClass, which changed not only one's playing, but Life, forever w/unexpected musical blessings! Aram Khachaturian's Ballet's of Sparticus and Gayneh move my entire inner being in indescribable ways ... They speak The Truth as it is a core element of my musical DNA ~ Thanks be to God for Aram Khachaturian's Testament to Life!! Elisabeth Matesky

Aram Khachaturian was born in Tiflis, Russian Empire (now Tbilisi, Georgia) to a poor Armenian family. His parents were armenian!!! There are many other armenian geniuses who born in other countries, but they were and they are still armenians!!! And every armenian is proud to have such great people!!! @henrique monteiro ~ Now 9.8.21, your Reply re figure skating brought you here is intriguing to me, a lifetime Khachaturian Lover & Violin soloist performer internationally. Loving figure skating since age 6, my teacher-father told me I had to give up skating to become a great violinist, but I've Loved the figure skating all my life & met Elvis Stoijko, of Toronto, here as his family heard a rare solo violin piece I recorded & composed for 'fun' winning a Composition Contest out of 4000 Entries! Mrs Stoijko wanted to know 'How I did what I did on one violin!' We met after that when Elvis was on an American Olympic Skating Champions Tour and talked a lot.He asked I play it & took to the ice to begin skating so in sync to what I was playing yet minus my violin bow!! It suited his suave smoothe sensual style then he asked I join him in Toronto to be in a Canadian TV Special! It was a 'Go' but his choreographer put a stop on it. Not Good. My piece has a true life story & it was to be choreographed on the ice w/myself sitting playing whilst Elvis Stoijko was skating in his 'role' of my story which really did happen in London ~ I hope you're skating & maybe hoping to enter the Olympics in 2024, I think!??
