I did but she left me because of religion. Its ben a little over 20 yrs now and we both married and had kids. We been speaking on and off for 10 years. About a year and a half we meet up again and had a intimate moment. I found out I never stop loving her. She ghost me and have nothing to do with me because of the same reason she left me 20 years ago.

Aragorn and Arwen, a man and an elf, their story is just so beautiful... "For you, I choose a mortal life". Arwen dead one year after Aragorn passed away, which is the best ending for them.

@@julianlewis1792 In the book, she doesn't understand why Aragorn must die, but he tells her it is time for his sons to rule (I think I recall that Tolkien says they have two). She is angered and saddened at the last and goes to Lothlorien forest, but it is empty and forlorn. There were no more ships sailing to the Grey Havens and so there she dies alone and forgotten. The movie does not dwell on that aspect of it, but I recall being saddened for her lonely ending in the book.

Don’t know if you’re religious, but even if you aren’t I think you’d understand this on some kind of spiritual/theoretical level - in Genesis, God creates Eve because it is not good for Adam to be alone. And the two become “one flesh”, and in those chapters they are often simply referred to as man and woman. “Man and wife”. Adam “man”, and Eve “mother”. Even though it often does not work out so perfectly in the real world, the basic idea of it is perfection. You’re right, they are perfect for each other, and the traditions and stories we’ve passed down tell us it was meant to be.

Considering Tolkien was Catholic, I wouldn’t doubt he got some inspiration from the Bible. And also Catholic tradition of what a man and a woman are when they work in tandem with one another(ie true masculinity and true femininity) For example John Chrysostom’s lovely quote “The husband and wife should be similar to the hand and eye. When the hand hurts, the eyes should be crying. And when the eyes cry, the hand should wipe away the tears.” Very beautiful isn’t it?

It's entertaining for sure but there's no gravitas like the classics of old (such as "Lawrence of Arabia," "Gone with the Wind," or even "Dances with Wolves" and "Glory"). LotR is basically a giant extended television special.

Back in those days when we still felt the scenes way more realistic than nowadays effects! the best series of the entire human life

The connection I have with this story... Can't really explain it, only be thankful I was blessed with being born within the proper universal timeframe to appreciate its unique meaning.

A gorgeous pre rafaelite feel to Arwen and Aragorn scenes, just like the paintings but in motion pictures. Superb.

When that horse came back for Aragorn I thought that it was one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever saw in movie...

A lullaby from Heaven. So soothing and so angelic. Whenever I feel down, I just turn on Secret Garden and am carried away into Paradise.

So easy to drift away in the essence of this song. The song and accompanying video shows how Love, as a raw emotion is embraced, followed by the need to protect those we love. I would fall to my knees if someone actually sang this song to me.

William, did she sing to you?

Played this and sang this so many times while my youngest settled for nap and sleep. Helps me transport back to the feeling of her gazing up at me and cradling her tiny body in my arms 🥲🧡✨

I always get this weird feeling when I hear some music. Like I've heard it somewhere though it's the first time I'm listening to it. As if there had been a life, some loved ones I had but we couldn't end up happily ever after. Something killed us brutally. & That forgotten memory, that feeling just makes me overwhelmed. I try to remember what it was, who they were, I get restless yet close to those faraway memories. It's both heavenly & melancholic. Idk if it's just me or others also feel the same but it's so strange.

I feel it too. You should do a past life regression if you believe in that sort of thing. I did one and discovered I was an extraterrestrial in a past life. Many of my friends including myself sung such beautiful and ethereal songs like this.

She couldn't be more beatyfull in any other movies than this one

Who's to say that the door at edge of the World from which we leave doesn't lead to such places? There's a fine saying that makes me smile when things look bleak; "heaven must be the most wonderful place to go, because nobody ever wants to come back". Religions are misleading and filled with manipulation and vibrations of control and fear.
