Phuong My
Born in 1998 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Tran Phuong My's creative talents are expressed both through her work as the chief designer for the Phuong My brand and through her other production and styling projects for key fashion magazines such as Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.
Determined to produce only the truly exceptional, the young designer is looking to expand her vision to the global fashion scene.
Humariff
Growing up in Dagestan, Russia, Tamam Humariff started sketching dresses at the age of 14, but ended up with a law degree as her family wants her to become a lawyer.
In 2010, the love of dressmaking prompted her to open a wedding boutique in Makhachkala, fulfilling her dream of becoming a fashion designer, although part-time to her main job as a lawyer.
When Tamam got married in October 2012, her dear husband supported her love for fashion and eventually she gave up her law career and went sketching elegant dresses full time.
Tamam presents her couture collection for the first time during the 2015 Moscow Fashion Week, and in 2016 opens her full pledge boutique in the cities of Moscow and Baku.
Minaz
Pija Minaz, the person behind the successful Minaz fashion house is the current leader when it comes to the local modest/Muslimah clothing business in Malaysia.
Minaz first started producing dresses from a tiny boutique at a kindergarten school in Bangi where she works as a teacher.
Today, the fashion designer turned entrepreneur, whose main brand identity is the signature Minaz print, plans to focus more on high-end collections to spread more awareness on the Minaz brand globally.
David Tlale
David Tlale is a South African fashion designer whose work has been showcased at the Fashion Weeks in Cape Town, New York, and Paris and who has also designed collections for major retailers like Edgars.
Tlale was a semifinalist at the South African Fashion Week Elle New Talent Show Competition in 2002.
In May 2003, Tlale started working from home running two design studios in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
House of MuaMua
MUAMUA DOLLS was born on the beach of Bali in 2006. Ludovica Virga, designer and creative mind, decided to produce crocheted dolls made by the island's inhabitants who, after the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004, were left without work because of tourism increasingly in crisis. The first creation of Ludovica, for all Luvilu, was born by chance as a gift for a dear friend.
But success comes only in 2009, when the designer during a Chanel fashion show in Venice, meets Karl Lagerfeld and makes a gift of a MuaMua doll with the features of the Kaiser of fashion. The designer began a collaboration with the Italian designer and in 2012, she was commissioned more than 500 dolls to be sold in Lagerfeld shops. The response was immediate, MuaMua dolls gradually became a brand known by those in the sector.
Renato Balestra
Renato Balestra is one of the few Italian firms that still maintains a family ownership combined with a strongly managerial company structure. A tradition that is constantly renewed.
He began his rise to international fame, developing and creating a variety of activities.
Today, Renato Balestra designs and markets approximately thirty different ranges that include haute couture and ready-to-wear collections, a complete line of men’s wear and a wide range of accessories. His private clients include prestigious names from all over the world.
Renato Balestra has designed clothes for the Empress Farah Diba, the Queen of Thailand, the first ladies of the Philippines and Egypt, Saudi Arabian Princesses and for leading celebrities of the international jet-set.
