  • @samuelkurian8407

    I would suggest dont go for diy co2 as it will not give you good or desired growth for your plants I have experienced it for 1&half year and then shifted to pressurised co2 recently u will realize this later that instead wating my time and money I should have gone for a proper pressurised co2 2ly it's very tedious to make the perfect amount or a perfect quantity of ingredients I would not recommend it for a long run for a shot time when in situations like now ok as refill is difficult And what I liked when mayur sir in one of his videos said give your fishes the best same things apply for the plants as well

    Sir very nice easy and fast I has a question may rebound aquarist say the co2 should be half an hour to 1 hour prior to light and can be kept for 8 hours but here u said only 3 to 4 hours a day is it cause this is a nano/cub aquarium or it can be implemented for big aquarium as well . Tanks like 160 ltr 250 ltr etc

  • @MayurDevAquascaper

    @MayurDevAquascaper

    4 жыл бұрын

    Dear Samuel, The concept of starting the co2 earlier than the light is not wrong, it is with this thought that when the lights switch ON, there is ample amount of co2 available for them for photosynthesis Now for the timing, Once the plants start releasing oxygen they stem taking more co2, so there is no need for it any longer, so 3-4 hours We use the same process for all sizes of tanks

    Paji depends on you how much you can spend. In india you can buy a big enough aquarium from any shop for really cheap not ada but a regular aquarium, Buy planted aquarium soil or normal soil should be fine too buy low light plant and use root tab it is so cheap compared to ada soil. You will save tone of money invest in a good quality canister filter and cycle your tank before adding fish you can watch youtube video how to cycle your tank and do not add too many fish wait for bacteria to grow in your filter then add fish according to your tank. Change water 20-25% every week do not change all water at once and never ever clean your filter with regular water clean it with your fish aquarium water otherwise chlorine will kill your good bacteria from the filter media

    I have river sand in aquarium and have Geophagus. I have Anubias on drift wood. I also plan to put Vallisneria and amazon sword. I plan to use Osmocote for fertilisers. The river sand may not retain nutrients and they might be released in water. Please advice. You explain very well and in detail.

    Any tips to retain Osmocote fertiliser in river sand or there will not be much issue of fertiliser getting in water column. I use 10-15 grains in the 70 gallon tank. I am more concerned on ammonia spike. Hence this question. It is a non-co2 tank. I will rely on 6 fishes & aeration for co2.

Generally I don't have issues with non planted tanks just that fish goes through some stress which needs be managed. I am looking forward to your advice. Thanks

    Ok what I use is a bubble counter, So the pressure required for from a cylinder is 0.5psi and most good regulators are already rigged to give you this pressure and the indicator will show you this reading The fact that I use an ADA Regulator, I don need an indicator so I do not use it

I am planning to introduce a CO2 stainless steel diffuser. There are basically two options available or me.... should I go with 35cm of 40cm length diffuser? The 40 cm one will be almost touching the ground... is it good to keep the diffuser as low as possible inside the tank?
