@@DirByHasan tridents are only cumbersome if you're ignorant of them and insist on fighting with them as though they're swords. They're not. Half of the moves in this fight wouldn't do anything even if they did land because the shaft isnt sharp, obviously. Tridents are spears with crossguards. You're going to be stabbing mostly, and only swinging the thing if your opponent is off balance and you can leg sweep him. A fight between two trident wielders would be a game of stabbing at your opponent's weapon and trying to catch the shaft between two of the points on your trident, so you can yank his out of his hands or snap it.

the 30 seconds of fighting was absolutely insane and of the best fights we’ve gotten in the dceu imo

Dr Shin doesn't nearly enough recognition. Not only did he betray Black Manta by warning Arthur and Orm of his plan, but he also sends them their location so they can rescue the baby. He also saves the baby's life by planting that bomb in the bag, tricking Manta into nearly blowing himself up.

The choreography and brutality of the fights in this movie were on another level.

0:41. The final battle. I love that fight out of all the whole movie. I think Aquaman wanted to really kill Black Manta in that fight. Trying to kill Mera was one thing, but trying to kill their son! Black Manta crossed the line. 3:01-3:07. Aquaman with that slap is like, “I’m had enough of you Manta” And set still he tried to save him. He made the mistake once, not again

DC does a great job of allowing the audience experience to be a superhero by seeing it through the eyes of superheroes

0:42 - 1:15 this shot, this fight scene is the only thing that make me awe. For real, it doesn't look very Hollywood-ish. Doesn't use overly cut, camera movement not janky, good CGI and VFX. Simple yet awesome. Respect.

Awww, the baby was calling to his Daddy!!!!! And Daddy handled the business...never test a mother and fathers resolve....ever.. awesome scene and the Trident fight seen was EPIC!!!!!

Honestly I love the papa bear moments but I wanted more mama bear moments, lol. Papa bear is sweat and expected.... but mama bear is edge of your seats heart pounding and screaming Kill that bastard. So yeah wished there had been a bit more mama bear in the movie.

@@jairusjackson7799 Don't particularly care about actors when I'm talking about their characters in movies. I just enjoyed the mother bear mode and would have liked to see more. I Liked the papa bear moments too! Whether I agree with her action while not in character is another matter entirely. For me an actors personal life is just that, personal, and I have no business poking my nose in regardless of how publicly its put out there. While I don't condone her actions outside of her job and think it was a crappy thing to do, its not really my place to up in her business. Job wise she's a decent actress. What she does beyond that in her personal life is not my business and has no affect on how I see the role she's acting in a movie. I'm the type who if I meet one of my favorite actors in a regular everyday life, I treat them like just another person. If I'm at a fan event and its their job to amp up their movie then I expect them to do their job and I will fangasm like everyone else.

It's just here it's too obvious this character's role and relevance was cut in half, it feels a little impossible not to mention the actor because that was the only reason why

DC writing and the actors and actress are on another level. Everyone can act.

I like the similarity of the lich king and him. Both trap from the icy prison. Both had deadly and corrupted weapons, frostmourne and the black tridant.

Technically they did, Black Manta is still technically the main villain, Kordax is mainly an overarching villain

there were like 3 slow-motion "Oh no that person is gonna die" then saved at the last moment scenes in the span of 2 freaking minutes.

No matter who James Gunn brings in to handle Aquaman in the DCU, they will NEVER top James Wan's style of shooting action and fight choerography. This is a fact.

Most fans liked this movie, I liked it but not close to the first one. Aquaman 2 abandoned by its own studio has performed in a very decent manner, defying expectations. An enjoyable movie, but one with flaws, especially lack of Mera, any Aquafan knows that the Queen is too important in Aquaman to be put to the sidelines and the movie feels something is missing.

The only thing people are complaining about is that she didn't get recast post-trial with/against Johnny Depp. Her personal legal issues, IMHO have nothing to do with her ability to do her job, which she has consistently done well on the big screen.

There are so many different videos of this movie that you can just about see most of the movie. Looks like a cool movie😊

You know when I first saw the fight for some reason I felt like I seen this before. I remember now. King Arthur Legend of the sword final fight had the exact cgi fight sequence. Ironic aquaman is Arthur too. Movie was still good.

DC is kicking Marvel ass in making superhero movies. Aquaman 2 was downright entertaining with a lot of layers. DC is so good at making it about superheroes allowing the audiences to experience the powers of the superheroes

Everyone in the movie is an exceptional actor or actress.

Loved Mera’s fighting moments. She added some spice on the movie despite of the hate. The character was great though no doubt!! Too bad she had little scenes.

Indeed, one of the flaws of this movie was lack of Mera. There can't be a proper Aquaman story in which she is not prominent. Mera is the heart of the Aquaman mythos. Very idiotic to reduce her scenes, she is more powerful than Arthur or Orm.

Definitely not, besides Zod being much stronger physically than Arthur and Mera, he is also much faster, more experienced, with better combat skills hand to hand, can fly, has more destructive power and range (heat vision)

2:25 I'm no movie writer, but given the subplot of the bond between brothers, I would've had it that Orm is the one that saves Aquaman from Black Manta's attempt to kill Aquaman. But then, in the fight between Orm and Black Manta, Manta wounds Orm while trying to protect Mera and Arthur Jr. thus freeing Kordax. Then Aquaman and Orm have to fight together to stop Black Manta and defeat Kordax.

Well actually Mera is more powerful than Arthur and Orm put together. In comics Mera defeats Orm easily even if in a weakened state. In one instance She defeats the entire JL single handed.Against Kordax all she needed was to deprive him of the fundamental element, water. Which is her most lethal power.

Kordax probably rationalized he didn't have to do much with Manta to get what he wanted. he just had to pump up Manta's abilities and feed his already immense hate for Aquaman. Let the man's wrath do the rest.
