Aquachigger: What Metal Detectors Does He Use? My Top Choices.

Ойын-сауық

In this video, I show the range of metal detectors I use every year. They include Fisher, Garrett, Minelab and Deus and Teknetics detectors. I provide a brief explanation as to why I use so many different metal detectors and the metal detecting conditions that guide me in choosing.

Great video Beau, looks like you have me beat with two extra machines.Love all your videos, especially the narration this is what gives your channel substance even when you're goofy. Look forward to the comparison, maybe do a quick in ground test with one object with each machine at full sense to see how they compare and perform.

I'm still using the machine I could afford at the time. Whites DFX. I know, I know...all the pros tell me to upgrade and I will when I can afford to. To me, though, this machine is priceless. It gave me and my daughter the love of detecting. She's 7 now and i've had this thing 10 years longer than I've had her. And it still finds things. Thanks for your great entertaining videos.

Hey Beau, You should make a custom automatic signature for the bottom of all of your video descriptions that will link to other videos or answer really common questions. Just so you don't have to write it every time. Just like: "Common Questions What Metal detector do you use? -Watch this video I talk about them!: Link Etc...." It will save you a lot of time on future videos, and if you still want to reply to a lot of common questions you can just write, "refer to the description" for a bunch of them.

hey great video. I am a beginner hobbyist and just bought my first detector. A garret ACE 250 However i haven't received it yet and already plan on buying a second one as our whole family wants to go out and do it together. My question is what entry level detector would you recommend as a second unit. I have my eye on a coin master or choirmaster pro though I'm not sure what the difference is. I didn't want to buy the same ACE 250 as the first as i thought it would be better to have a little versatility. Would you suggest a coin master or coin master pro, or would you think I'm better off with something different. Im not really sure what we will be hunting for but i figured coins would be the most logical assumption to think we will find and thus the decision to go with a coin master as a second unit. Any advice would be appreciated. I will be looking forward to more videos Thanks

***** Yep, I always leave log piles in my back garden for things to live in, and somewhere to hide from my cats! I even had a wasps nest one year in an old shed and just left them to it. They eat all the bugs that attack plants. As they built their nest they would scrape wood off of the shed door to munch into the pulp for it. I also let the spiders in my house stay there.......I don't mind them. I had a big house spider for years living in another shed between some boxes. When the flying ants came out in the summer I would catch some and put them by the spiders webby-tubey thing. It would dart out and take them back inside. It got to the stage where I could hold an ant by the webby thing and it would take it from my fingers!!! You can't beat nature.

Yeah , an AT Pro/Gold comparison is a must . I was looking to get one for water hunting . But don't know enough to make my decision . I had a Minicab CTX 3030 , but thought it was over rated , and too much $$$$ overkill for what little I was getting . I like Fisher detectors too , but I will not be diving (Just wading to 5 feet) , so the AT series looks like a better option for the $$$

+AmericanCoinHunting Another vote for a Pro vs. Gold video. I have many hours on the Pro, and love it - would be interested to know what benefit the Gold would offer for hunting colonial land sites where there are a lot of heavier-end metals - lead, pewter, etc... especially in the form of buttons. What finds would I expect to see more of (or less) with the AT Gold?

+Diana Zambory Yes, technically the AT can be used on saltwater beaches, but it doesn't always perform well... it really depends where you live. Where I am in Maine, you have to manually push the ground balance way down, use the little 5x7 coil, and drop the sensitivity by several bars to avoid chatter. I own a couple Minelab machines as well which run very smooth and quiet on wet sand - that is not the case with the AT. That being said, there are certain iron infested areas of beach where I use that AT setup and do quite well... so it'd very site specific. But to summarize, there is no substitute for a true saltwater machine.

Do you have any somewhat cheaper recommendations for a starter metal detector? I've been watching a lot of your videos and it really makes me want to try it out.

Hey Beau, have you ever used a White's Spectra V3i? What's your opinion on it? Not trying to start a brand war (White's vs Minelab vs XP vs....), just curious on your experience with it. Please make some more videos like this.

hi I'm new to metal detecting. I'd like to find a good starter detector that is low in cost but also good quality. water proof is a plus but not a must. lemme know, any input is appreciated

Aquachigger what is your thoughts on the Fisher F22? I recently got one as a gift and have used it some and have found coins and relics. I know it's not an expensive machine but it's what I got.

Lol I just asked this question 5 minutes ago on another video. A flow chart sounds great!

Beau, as a birthday present, my kids (who know little of the hobby, but are learning) bought me a Bounty Hunter Lone Star detector. It's the first machine I owned, but the manual is VERY vague on usage and not a lot online either. I have heard this is a great 'beginer' machine but I dunno, seems like I only find junk, even when I did a test of dropping a few coins, ect on the ground (missed em completely, but found enough rusty nails to build a small house). Am I maybe doing something wrong or is it the machine?
