@@fleetwoodvo8673 a black TV show from the 90s starring Martin Lawrence. The reference he’s referring to is when Schooly D say’s “man, where y’all getting all y’all money. Y’all like Tommy; you ain’t got no job!” Tommy was one of the characters in Martin and there was a running gag where no one knew where Tommy worked because he’d be super vague about it, so everyone assumed he didn’t have a job. Years after the show finished, it was revealed by the actor that Tommy worked at some sort of kid’s foundation or something, IIRC. Not sure how valid that actually was at the time of filming though. Great show overall. Definitely a classic amongst African American households.

@@anchorbubba Being able to read and write are the building blocks for the learning and passing of information(behind spoken language). Imagine giving an illiterate person an IQ Exam, the test used to measure your intelligence, it would be impossible for you to get even a decent score without help. Usually because being Illiterate comes down to you not wanting to or refusing to learn. If you just have trouble reading, but can still do so, that’s not illiteracy, it’s Dyslexia. Which doesn’t affect general intelligence, or the ability to acquire new knowledge.

The guitars and harmonics during the intro, the harmonics leading into the second verse, Brad Delp’s singing voice everything about More Than A Feeling is fucking badass. I always have to listen to the intro a few times before listening to the whole song. The intro and second verse are my favorite parts. I don’t care if some people think that song is overplayed. It’s not played enough if you ask me. One more thing, I want that song to be played at my funeral.
