I remember when the movie was about to come out, Adult Swim made this big deal saying they were going to air it on tv. And they did, but like 2-3 seconds after it started the sound cuts out and the show shrunk down into the bottom right corner of the screen and was so small you couldn't really make out what was going on. They showed the normal AS lineup as scheduled but they did indeed show the whole film, albeit too small to see and with no sound.

@@sedme0 No Flash, actually. Just After Effects (with animatics created in Final Cut Pro). Flash wasn't readily available when ATHF launched. Squidbillies was done in Flash, though.

Me and my friend were only ones that watched adultswim. He went to my old school and at the new school there was only one kid there that watched once it started hitting its peak later on. This show was an important part of my childhood. I remember being 5 and sick so my parents let me stay up and watch aqua teen and sea lab with them while eating sugar rice. I called it the “McDonalds show”

I was a senior in High School when the movie came out, and no joke, my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me for going to see it. She had seen the show before and straight up told me that after graduation she didnt want to date a child anymore. Still..... It was worth it.

I remember that! Meatwad was eating Frylock's caulk thinking it was cheese and ended up thinking he had visions of the future! 😆

These shows when I was like 10yo at sleepovers were the most surreal moments of my psychedelic-naive (pre-psychedelic) life.

the opening of the movie when it switched to hardcore metal for telling people how to conduct themselves at the movies was hilarious.

Fun Fact: the Mooninites started as the ghosts of the abandoned E.T. Atari cartridges in New Mexico. This show is actually how I learned about it. This is actually my favorite show of all time next to Venture Bros.

In total re-Carl, every time meatwad says “fudge”, I just burst into laughter

Shake also has a power: whenever he throws something, it explodes. But since he has no arms, this immense power cannot be appropriately utilized.

It happens with every character though. There was an adult swim bumper that said the reason this happens is because Shake cloned every item so many times that they've become super unstable and explode every time they fall.

I love the fact that you actually had to understand the show to review it. I've watched every episode and am a big fan of it but I learned a lot from this video. lol

I love the episode that starts out with frylock knocking on carls door and then it shows carl hiding behind his couch whispering "go away"..."go away you freaks"

😂 I remember that like it was yesterday. This is why I commented that Shake was my favorite character; because he's such an unapologetic asshole.

My favorite little thing was when Carl put flames on his pool. "It looks like it's hauling ass around the yard even though it's staying still. Still waters run deep."

One of my all time favorite shows. The humor in ATHF still stands to this day too as it all comes from within the show and is essentially timeless in that matter.

I was waiting for this review for ten years. You once reviewed an Atari game, and mentioned Meatwad. Ever since then, I was hoping you would bring it back up

I still watch this regularly, and the fact that the creators also didn't want it to end gives me hope it will be back some day in some form or another.
