Lip sync is usually not a choice by the artists. The main big example is SClub 7, when they reunited (3 of them only) Paul said, it's cool the fact that we're REALLY SINGING! And Aqua always sings live in their recent live shows!

@pjfuertes152 if you play this song next to the album version, you will hear a few tone differences, 1:17 to 1:19 'on a peice of paper', that note is slightly different, then the album version, now i'm not saying it's live, but different from the album version

she has so many styles with her voice, and she is really singing, some of the songs she sings are really normal and her voice is amazing.

It is lip-synced, they did it in Aquarius era. On present concerts, they are live when possible :)

Well, there's a reason for them to be using playback. The type of songs they sing, and the fact that English isn't their first language are both big reasons to not be singing live.

You can tell its lip synced, you can't hear when they draw in breaths when you see it and he forgot to sing at 3:01 XD But awesome stage pressence and you can tell they are quite close friends :)

@Yushi961 there ar not singing live because the vocals are IDENTICAL to the cd and they are jumping up and down and movement should effect the vocals. Also if you see the real live vids she does not sing this way live. =)

You've never been to a koncert before? You would find out its not that unusual, and it's often only nice because they are dancing alot the people in front, sweats.
