Sir, thank you so much for your videos. I look up to you for making content like this, and even if it's 5 years back, it's still very useful today, and I'm doing all-nighters of everything I've forgotten in AS because nothing quite made sense to me in year 1, but suddenly now, everything just makes sense. Thank you for that. I think our teacher was SO excited in teaching us the ins and outs of everything and giving us too much information that it kind of didn't have much context or needed relevance 😭, but this is so straight-forward and to the point, and I love that, and it actually makes sense. Our class and our class groupchats have all recommended and shared this channel to each other, and I hope this channel reaches others who need it too. Thank you, so much, Sir. I was having quite the anxiety thinking I just couldn't do chemistry because nothing made sense, but now it's starting to, and I'm relieved:) I will keep trying too!

When filling in the energy level diagram with the arrows to represent the electrons, don’t the arrows have to be single headed because double headed arrows represent 2 electrons and each orbital boxes can only have 2 electrons in them not 4?

hi there, i read else where that the electrospray ionisation causes the gain of a proton, not the gain of an electron, so im just a bit confused

You know for the electron configuration example of iron that you did , it is wrong from the end because 4s comes before 3d

Hi, I've been doing some past papers and on one of the questions it asks how the ions are detected, are they detected when they gain an electron at the plate or lose one?

They are detected when the ions gain an electron from the negaticely charged electric plate and cause a flow of current which is proportional to the abundance hence they can be detected

Please can you make them into a flash card is possible

No, it's an exception since the 4s level fills up before the 3d (which requires more energy). So, he's right

At 18:50 I thought for the electronic configuration bit, it should be 1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^6? Because you only put the 3d orbital after the 3p orbital if it's fully filled up? Am I wrong?
