For those with android and have problem connecting with the mc, I myself got 2 of them and tried to connect again n again last week on my shooting day but failed, even after I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Kinda gave up on apps but today I tried reinstalling it again and allow all access for the apps (apps will ask for permission to first timer user). Before that make sure your Bluetooth and location is turned on. Works well after. Some features sync, some randomized. So far am satisfied. Hope this helps those who are looking for solution. 1. Make sure Bluetooth and location switched on. 2. Allow all access to apps for first time user. 3. Make sure to reset the BT on the MC itself before connecting it to apps. Cheers!

Thank you! Couldn't find an answer elsewhere and you saved me some time. This works. Give the app all the permissions. And that's twisting of hands Aputure! Or a bug. Either way, fix it. Not cool.

It really is incredible how much it can do! It feels like common sense to allow all that control of things like SFX, but I haven't seen anything close to this with any other light in this category :)

I have followed the steps for installing/ making a scene. So far, so good. When I start up the next day , I always get the message thar it can`t reconnect. And I must start from the top and install all over again. Help would be appreciated

Great video. Has anyone had issue where the lights stop working when you plug into A/C power? The Sidus app has no problem controlling the lights while they are on battery power but the controls go dead once you plug the MC light into USB-C power.

Nice review! If I put two or more AL-MC lights into a "group", will they be synchronized for the same color, intensity, and effects? I would like to have multiple AL-MC cycling through the party light effect, and displaying the same colors simultaneously. Do you know if the Sidus app will do this?

It should! I only have one myself but I saw 4 of them doing exactly that at InterBEE and according to Aputure that should work just fine :)

Great demo! Is there a way to use separate colors on one AL-MC or are they all the same, all the time? (e.g. half red, half green)

Hi! I believe that Aputure just announced their new wireless add-on system that will make older lights like the 120dii compatible... I haven't had a chance to look into it much yet though

Maximilian Y. I have used it for long periods of time plugged in, but you’ll probably want to cut power with the physical switch to avoid it draining power unnecessarily.

My phone died while it was using bluetooth connected to the aperature mc light and now the light just wont connect wont turn on womt do nothing when i turn it on no option to connect no light coming out nothing

My God! Thank you for this video! Super helpful!! Quick question - I'm facing constant disconnection with my Android (Pixel 3 XL) and the MC. How do I troubleshoot that? It did connect, and does one time if I restart the app, but after any one action/change to the setting it disconnects. Really frustrating. Any help would be super appreciated! Thanks a ton!

Hey sorry to hear that. I'm not sure about that phone specifically but my first recommendation would be to reset the bluetooth on the light itself (one of the choices in the menu like changing from CCT to SFX), then re-register it in the app from scratch. Hopefully that helps but if not maybe get in touch with someone at Aputure and see if it's a known problem with the Pixel itself or if there's a chance it's a faulty unit.

Hey dude, I have two of the MC lights now. Not sure if you've got two, but have you noticed that when doing lighting effects, they are not in sync with one another? Eg, grouping two lights together and using paparazzi/lightening etc, they will not fire at the same time.

Hey! I only have one actually so haven't noticed that, but I should be able to try out a few at InterBEE later this week so I'll be sure to check that. If you reset the bluetooth on the device and reconnect from scratch does it still have the problem?

@@pj5576 Hi! I did actually ask about it at InterBEE, sorry for not replying sooner... and if resetting all the bluetooths, deleting them from the app and then reconnecting them all at the same time doesn't help, I'd say contact Aputure about it.

If you want them to have the same settings, you can create a group and add them both to it.

With Aputure 200d going into effects I can start/stop effect but going back to fixture and adjusting slider effect still on...So, how do you turn off effects?

I had the same issue. What I discovered was after using an effect like say faulty bulb, then stop it, go to the white tab and turn the light on there, the faulty bulb effect came back, I then by chance changed the colour temp and hey presto the faulty bulb effect stopped. Bizarre but it works. Hope this works for you too. Cheers Andy

No morse code unfortunately, and I have it plugged in here so it shows AC power but usually it does show the battery level there instead.

Uhm... I'd have to run through the app again to be sure, but there is the ability to tap trigger the lightning, for example. Not sure if that's what you mean?

I have the Aputure B7c, and a Oneplusnord phone. After a lot of hazzel I got it connected. I signed out and started up again today, and it`s all gone. O cant get connection, it`s stops at 99 % and say that pairing failed. I have tried everything, but it just won`t connect again. I have turned thing on and off, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarded the phone. Nothing works

These B7c's are frustrating. I had the same issue, but found if I plugged the light into a live power supply ie lamp lampholder the B7c would then pair to its 100%, so my guess is if the battery is too low on power there might be enough to allow the app to detect it, but not enough to do a successful paring. Sorry to hear that. I'd try resetting the bluetooth on the light itself if you haven't yet. If that still doesn't work try and let Aputure know and they should be able to get you sorted out

@@Clovenlife One of the options in the menu where you change from CCT to RGB mode is for resetting the bluetooth. I can't recall exactly what it says without the light in my hand at the moment, but if you scroll through those options you should see it in there.

Mine doesnt want to connect with my phone... I can find it under the bluethooth settings but the app wont find it...

I'd suggest trying to reset the bluetooth on the light itself (one of the options when switching modes), then try again from scratch. Hope that helps!

Android App just out. Give it all autorizations, or it will not work (even if position needed seems weird )

Can multiple devices control the same fixture such as Aputure Nova 300C? Lets say in a production, will different users witth their own phone or Ipad be able to control the same fixture/light?
