We won't know about how good the "right to repair" promise will be until a good year out. Even companies like Framework needed a solid year or two after release to prove to the general public that they actually care about right to repair. I am more worried about "enshittification" of the firmware. Hopefully all the key elements are open source; or at least openly documented such that they can't trap us to a subscription service.

The public offer states that this founding round is not final. Much more money will be needed to produce more than the 53 first vehicles. Also, the shares offered are not A shares but B stock that has no voting rights. That makes the shares much less valuable.

Great news Chris - Push the Production button to ON :) Whoohooo! The news we have all been waiting for. I have been a reservation holder since April of 2021 and have been interested in Aptera since I first saw the previous version of it back in 2005'ish. I will have my Aptera in 2025 - I never thought in my lifetime I could have access to a vehicle I never have to fuel - my commutes to work in the Aptera will be a whole new level of alternative energy. In the words of Chris Anthony, "That nuclear reactor in the sky" that will fuel my miles. Congrats to the Aptera Team and to the Aptera community to bring us to this amazing day in Aptera History. Someone put an entry in Wikipedia that Aptera is in production.

This is one time where I'm glad to see a crowdfunding end! I invested in Aptera in 2022 or 23. I want to set up a franchise restaurant that uses Aptera as delivery vehicles. Wrap them with the logo, no need for an aero-harming sign topper! Solve the shortage of drivers like Domino's does, with company vehicles. But for sandwiches. Domino's should be ordering a fleet of Aptera, too!

It has come so far. I am very excited to see the car in person. I told myself once they secured funding and approached a release level vehicle I would order. That was today. Very excited for my Launch Edition. My order is numbered above 77k so I suspect it will still be a few years but that's ok!

I come from the design and development world and find that the development of Aptera has occurred amazingly fast and with engineering methods and materials that weren't even available a few years ago. I've been a believer and investor and really enjoy the transparency, capital efficiency, novel concepts, rethinking and choice of materials and suppliers. @@Okurka.they didn’t “make a loss”, they burned money because you kind of, just maybe, have to spend money as a startup. 2023 was a huge year in terms of moving towards production (hence the spending of money). Now they’re doubling down on 2025 being production year with all the cards they’ve been playing the last few months. They’ve secured full funding with U.S. Capital and are stopping crowdfunding on June 30th. Has that happened before? No.
