for some reason the akcra makes it sound to much like a inline 4.. stock deffo sounds better

+JaunMoney Oh its the Tuono. Love it. 800 + miles since then. Graves slip on. ECU update in works. But need that dark wind screen.

I am 35 and looking to get my first motorcycle. I would also say that I'm a bigger guy. I will be traveling a lot on the highway and looking for a bike that I can have for many years. I was looking at Aprilia Tuono Factory , Triumph Speed R, Monster 821. I'm not going to be crazy on any of these bike just want to have a reliable machine. So would the Aprilia tuono factory be a good begineer bike

Fuck it you only live once, mine has been faultless. Previous RSVR factory also faultless. Just take your time and learn as you go. Do a track day to learn the extremes of riding. Enjoy.

+brandon lee to a degree. I would take any bike with an electronics suite to keep me from wading it up in the weeds over a 600 with nothing. The aprilia has some of the best and easiest available. After all I'm just a weekend warrior. If that. I have a real job and family responsibilities.

why dont u put in 1st gear to open the exhaust valve?

if u wanna hear the full sound you have to pull the clutch leaver and put it in first gear while standing. this will open the exhaust valve

+Mike F something tellls me you have no idea how an engine works. The exhaust valve opens on 1 of every 4 cycles of the engine mate. If you ran it in first gear with the rear wheel off the ground it would sound exactly the same.

cranialnonsence forgive me lord that i am not a native english speaker. btw i am a mechanical engineering student and know exactly how a four stroke engine works. besides that it seems that you have no specific knowledge about this motorcycle or specific engine. there is a valve inside the exhaust which is controlled by the ECU. it will automatically open when a gear is engaged. when in neutral its closed, so aprilia can adhere EU noise restrictions. and now fuck off please

what mike said is right ! we're specialized in Aprilia motorcycle's and there is a exhaust valve which opens when you put the engine in 1st gear. in neutral it's only open for about 10 % due to ecologic bullshit.... and don't tell me i am wrong because i have calibrated those damn valve's so many times on Touno's and RSV 4's when you put the engine in first gear the valve opens and the real raw Aprilia sound comes around. but you should have a full akrapovic exhaust system with a Akra mapping. not only the Slip on. when you have the full exhaust system your machine becomes a beast. and here in Holland its barely street legal with DB killer. and please next time put your bike outside so you can hear the real sound.!

What a waste of money, it still sounds so tame. Austin racing is the only pipe that belongs on this bike.

Akra with DB Killer sounds like Shit! w/h DB Killer its ilegal, so it´s useless.

Never understand why these beautiful bikes insist on having these huge ugly exhaust cans. Get a shorty pipe and be done with it. Really cleans that side up n
