I'm super curious how you got a publishing deal when the book isn't written and you're not an established author. I worked in publishing in university and we only accepted already written manuscripts before offering to publish.

It's different for persons with a large following. This actually does happen 'regularly' for influencers. It also depends what type of book she's writing but as you said, what's happening here is not the norm for the rest of us so if we want to write a fiction book it has to be written and polished before querying. 😊

It is a very different experience! I was actually approached by my publisher as an “expert in my field” type thing for some concepts they thought were under represented and it just so happened one was a book I’ve been wanting to write! I’m very lucky and I know my following has a lot to do with it
